BEFORE THE WINE FINISHES

by Dele Adeyanju

“… But thou hast kept the good wine until now”

Across cultures, wine symbolises life, joy and celebration

But when it finishes, life becomes dull and dreary

Disappointment, confusion and frustration are rife

Celebration stops abruptly, and shame sets in

When the wine finishes, shallow friends disappear

And there is the return of harsh reality

May your wine never run dry

“… But thou hast kept the good wine until now”

The wine of joy has diverse applications

Foremost is the wine of your health

Very significant is the wine of your marriage

Quite pertinent is the wine of your career

Great is the wine of your finances

Needful is the wine of your relationships

May your wine never run dry

“… But thou hast kept the good wine until now”

Before the wine finishes, be circumspect

Tackle the challenge before it comes

Connect with the source of “the good wine”

Before it finishes, let Him be your Anchor

Your sustainer; your all in all; your Alpha and Omega

Let the source of “the good wine” manage your affairs

May your wine never run dry.

Your wine shall not finish.

Happy New Month
