The Wise and the End Times

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Daniel 12:10

There is a lot to unpack in this chapter. This verse too appears so dense.

Let’s get into it.

There are many things to be done here. But there are two clear separate consequences.

First is that the people who choose God’s side shall be purified and cleaned up. They would be taken through the sort of purifying force that gold and silver go through to make them better and higher in value.

Second, the wicked people shall become more wicked. Of course, the consequence of wickedness is God’s wrath and anger on the wicked. They would have no hiding place from the consequences of their choices. Facing God’s wrath is the most stupid thing for someone to want to do. However, the next lines tell us the difference.

It was stated categorically that the wicked won’t understand these things. They would be blubbering around like the real fools that they are.

However, the wise will understand and keep walking in righteousness. They would keep pleasing God in all their ways, which include turning many to righteousness. They will become shining starts for this reason.

It is thus clear that God has given us the right of choice. His part is to expose us to the available choices, which we do every day on this page by His Holy Spirit.

Therefore, accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour puts you among the wise. And I know that you are smart enough to make the right choice always.

May today bring His light shining on your desires and manifest in His favour, which advances your destiny in Jesus name. Amen.
