And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. Daniel 11:44
A classical example of when pride has taken over someone. This king became very full of himself to the point of challenging God on his territory, the holy mountains.
Daniel 11 is a familiar scripture to many. The most popular verse being 32. It expresses great grace and exploits by the people of God. But it also details the description of the terrible things that will happen to them in the last days as described in Daniel 8.
However, one great thing about God is that He gives these forewarnings to enable people pick their sides in the battle early. For those that choose to stand with him, victory is always sure. For those who choose to stand against him, their destruction is certain. And that is what we see happen to the king exalting himself. He trampled on many kingdoms no doubt. However, much more, his cockiness took him to challenging God right in the space of the earth He chose to keep for Himself — your life and mine.
So, how do you think God would be looking on? He brought the man to his inglorious end and ensured he could not get help to save himself. This should tell you that crossing God is the stupidest thing anyone could do. However, standing with the enemy screams self annihilation.
For you not to get destroyed along with the enemy, a simple step you can take towards self preservation is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. This brings you into preservation and God’s glorious Kingdom. He will defend you for the rest of your life once you stand by Him always. He will be there to help you always. You become untouchable to the enemy of your soul. Even when challenges come, you can always be sure of victory once you allow Him to lead you.
I don’t know about you, but I think I will rather stand with the Saviour of my soul than some ruthless pompous ruler who cannot save me.
Wishing you the best today as you work hard to please him in all your endeavours in Jesus name. Any pompous king within your vicinity and set against your business shall experience the wrath of He who defends you today in Jesus name. Amen.
Jesus is Lord!
