And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all the dominions shall serve and obey him. Daniel 7:27
We are back to Ezekiel like visions. Here Daniel was shown the vision of what is to come in a dream.
Dreams are powerful if you understand how to interpret them. This is one gift we have found Daniel to possess from the beginning of this book. In this case, he had the dream of what is to come. God also graciously granted him the interpretation of that dream. So, it is not enough to have a dream. But knowing what it means is another level of grace.
Nonetheless, we should also be aware that what matters is learning how God speaks to us specifically. If you cannot understand the ways of God talking to you, you will be misled. This could be by you reading wrong meaning to what you saw in a dream or misinterpreting things around you. It could also be with someone messing with your head by filling your head with ideas of things that are not real. So, it is important that you learn early in your walk with God how He communicates his plans and purpose to you.
The best stress test is the Word of God. When your interpretation is not aligning with His word, the best choice could be to just trash it. So, always give all your dreams and interpretation or any so called prophecy given to you the litmus test of the Word of God. If it doesn’t hold up to God’s word, go back on your knees to ask Him. He will show you what He is talking about and give you peace. He is a faithful God.
Finally, the Kingdom and dominion that Daniel described here is real. The Lord Jesus confirmed it and some have had the privilege of envisioning it.
How to get there should be your greatest focus. It is simply by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. That is the access code to obtain the everlasting Kingdom of God and His dominion. It is only those who become the saints of God through their salvation and righteousness that can gain access to this glorious and everlasting Kingdom.
As the weekend comes upon us today, may His grace and mercy find you in Jesus name. Amen.
