Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live. Ezekiel 37:5
This a very popular chapter. This is also exemplary of Ezekiel’s picturesque style.
Indeed, he started with God carrying him to the valley of dry bones and then instructing him to prophesy on them so that they could live.
The interesting thing here is that when he did as he was commanded, the bones got breath and flesh and became a living army.
I am sure that you have read this chapter many times, if you are already familiar with the Christian faith. However, have you asked yourself the same question concerning the dry bones in your own life: Can these bones live again?
You see, until we confront our own dry bones situations, we may never understand what went down in that valley of dry bones. Until we confront our own realities of dry bones, we may never understand how Ezekiel knew what to answer. So, I ask again, can your dry bones live again.
But understand this, the Lord’s promise to cause breath to enter into them so they can live stands for you. The promise to cause sinews and flesh to cover them stands true. The question is: Do you believe enough to see them come to reality? Ezekiel did and he saw a miracle of an army restored.
No matter what you are going through, know that God wants you to have the very best and truly live. So, if you are yet to, the starting point for you is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. Then connect your faith to His word and all the dry bones in your life will be quickened back to life.
As we enter into this new week, I pray that every situation of life currently terrorising your life and destiny receives a death blow from His mercy and grace in Jesus name. Amen.
Jesus is Lord!
