Builder of Ruined Places

Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it.

Ezekiel 36:36

Hopelessness is not an option. When you are faced with a hopeless situation, remember the One who brought out water from the rock by merely speaking to it.

This chapter reminded us that after the storm comes calm. His promise to Israel was that even though its land was condemned to eating up its people and became barren due to its sins, He would change the trajectory of their situation through their true repentance.

They had served punishment. He would now restore them. The land might have suffered so much devastation that it could not support crop production, but He would change their story. It was absolutely seen as a land consuming its people, but He would cause the heathen around to see their restored prosperity and multiplications.

Nonetheless, He told Israel clearly that they would have to ask for it, Ezekiel 36:37.

This speaks to us that even though God has made us promises of great and mighty things, it doesn’t absolve us of the responsibility to pray those things into existence. God’s promises are ‘yeah’ and ‘amen’ truly, but they answer to faith and prayers of those who believe enough to demand for their manifestation.

We cannot contract this duty out. And neither is there a software that we will install to get it done. We must study the Bible, pray, fast (if necessary) and exercise our faith to access the promises. That is what is scriptural.

The beginning steps are in our understanding the simple fact that we must accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour. This too cannot be outsourced.

So, today, get up and go to church (or raise an altar to Him by kneeling before Him to pray wherever you may be) to make your peace with God and cry to Him to remember His promises to you for their manifestation. He is never late. If you move now, He will meet you at your point of need.

May His grace sufficiently enable you to do that which you need to do and grant you the visitations which will advance His will in your life today in Jesus name. Amen.

Happy Sunday, folks.
