And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.

Ezekiel 34:27

This is a very rich chapter. The chapter started with God telling the shepherds of His displeasure with them for not taking good care of the sheep left in their care. He accused them of abandonment, greed and selfishness. For a minister of God, these are traits that should not be mentioned in connection with their name. But God sees all.

Nonetheless, He made a promise to the sheep. He promised rescue and restoration. He promised help to the needy. He promised salvation and care. He promised prosperity and deliverance.

After so much doomsday prophecies, it appears that it is a relief to the downtrodden to experience hope. I know that many Nigerians can relate to this as many seemed to have given up on praying for Nigeria and just decided that it is time to focus on the self. As long as that self is still within the country, you can’t give up. As long as that self has relatives within the country, you can’t lose hope. The way God intervened for the sheep of Israel, this intervention applies to all the sheep He has everywhere.

So, let’s know that help is on the way in real time. At times, it may not always come in the way we want, which is why sometimes we don’t understand it when it comes.

However, the access code to expect that help lies in the simple act of accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour. If you haven’t already, do it right NOW.

May this day yield to you all the goodness and blessings the Lord has prepared for you in Jesus name. Amen.

Jesus is Lord!
