The Watchman

So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Ezekiel 33:7

The duty of the watchman is easy and also not easy at the same time. Ask me why.

Throughout this chapter, the watchman was told that if they hear a message of warning to the wicked and didn’t tell them on time, the wicked would get punished but the watchman would not be free because they didn’t warn the wicked of the impending doom. 

If the righteous turns from being righteous and they were not warned of the attending consequences, they would be punished but the watchman too would not be free for not warning them. 

So, whichever way, the watchman is not free from the consequences of others’ misbehaviour. That is why the preacher truly called of God cannot keep quiet. 

We do what we do on this page to ensure that you hear what you need to hear and not what you want to hear, as revealed to us of God per time. 

The bottom line of our message is that you can only be saved from God’s wrath on sin and unrighteousness by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour as well as living in righteousness all your days. There is no other way.

So, what you do with this information is strictly up to you. My prayer though is that you act in obedience and save your soul from eternal destruction that results from God’s judgement. And this is not fear mongering; God’s judgement is the result of making bad choices while we still have our breath.

So, today is another opportunity to do what is right.

I pray that the Lord God of heaven grants you the grace to choose life and live in Jesus name.
