Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Ezekiel 28:15
Today’s scripture of focus shows once again that the only thing that can keep us from God and our perfection is sin. Here the king of Tyrus was described as being beautiful, full of glory and very prosperous. The chapter even described him as being bright and wise.
All of these meant nothing once iniquity was uncovered in him. Corruption of his wisdom made him to start raising his should at God. It was even getting to the point that he wanted to start contesting with God for even His throne.
His judgement came swiftly. He was cast out of his glorious position. He became an enemy of God. This is what happens when we forget who we are and begin to be too ambitious for our own good.
The only humbling experience that can keep us grounded always is to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour. If we do this in sincerity, we will never forget who is the Boss! That helps us to keep living to please God in all our ways and in our hearts.
While enjoying your weekend, remember that tomorrow is there for you to prepare for church. Learn self restraint. The Holy Spirit grants that grace once we are truly saved.
May this day bring you joy in His presence today and always in Jesus name. Amen.
Happy weekend!
