And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.

Indeed, here goes the judgement of two sisters, Aholah and Aholibah.
Remember that Ezekiel demonstrates his messages through imageries. The picture painted here was that of two women who were coquettish and very immoral.
However, let’s understand that those men being painted as their lovers were idols and corruptions which the people of Samaria and Jerusalem that the two sisters represented figuratively, were romancing with.
It is really easy to assume that if it were you, you wouldn’t do such terrible things. However, we continue to see the terrible things we do in our modern cities in world. The terrible crimes, greed, unforgiveness, etc., which we exhibit in the modern world attest to the fact that the human nature is the same all through generations. What is different is the era of its manifestation and how well their knowledge had advanced enough to treat it better.
The casual treatment of intimacy between human beings had never been as terrible as it appears now. It seems to be seen as if it is as casual as eating a snack. All sorts of things being projected on our screens makes one’s skin crawl when you even see that animals look saner than the so called highest thing king animal when you see what they do in public view to satisfy base urges.
Anyway, true cleansing and restraint only comes with the acknowledgment of the baseness and repentance of its exhibition in unholy manners.
This occurs as you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour and begin to live a life worthy of being His child.
This you can do and need to do to obtain His cleansing from the corruption of the world and be accepted into His Kingdom.
May His grace grant you the required strength to stand for His righteousness today and always.
