And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.
Ezekiel 16:14
You know, this verse stood out for me today in the midst of 60+ verses of this chapter. You know why? it is clear that any beauty we may possess, whether in spirit, soul and/or body could only be by the influence of God on our lives. Otherwise, we know that the heart of (wo)man is desperately wicked and who can know it. That wickedness tend to reflect in every aspect of our being.
So, taking for granted that you are nice, kind, pure or any other positive attribute you may possess is actually foolishness. You were born selfish and wicked. Only a true encounter with God makes your soul redeemed to become pure.
That is why I am asking once again that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. This is the only way to beautify your spirit and soul, which would now reflect in your body.
May the beauty of the Lord reflect in and through us as we go out this week in Jesus name.
Jesus is Lord!
Happy New Week.
