Ezekiel 9:4
Today, know that God sees all that we do.
Today’s scriptural highlight shows that because of that knowing, the Yoruba proverb that says: ọrun nya bọ, ki i ṣ’ọrọ ẹnikan (the falling sky will affect everyone) may actually be wrong.
This is because when God’s wrath against Jerusalem was to boil over, He instructed clearly that everyone who had been crying to Him against all the evil acts and the abominations being committed in the land should be marked and separated from the execution of the judgement coming.
They were spared when the rage of God was being expressed against the sinful city. This tells me today that those praying for Nigeria should not give up. It tells me that no matter the situation, you and your family shall be spared the sorrow following all the wickedness going on. It tells me that God will remember you and ensure that you were not mistakenly destroyed along with the wicked.
So, let’s be encouraged to continue to pray for Nigeria to be saved from God’s wrath and to continue to do righteousness at our corner so that the light of God’s righteousness shall begin to spring forth from our end.
All of these start from truly accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour, which is the most indelible mark that can stand us out for His preservation when the time comes for His wrath to descend.
May His mercy stand us out as we do our part in Jesus name.
