For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave their fathers, and they shall possess it.
Jeremiah 30:3

This is a message of God’s restoration. It gives hope for a future of return and repossession. It gives hope to people in bondage of their freedom.

After the hard judgement meted out to His people by Him, is it any surprise that God pitied them and gave a word of comfort to them after that? Indeed, it should not surprise us. He is always pitying His people despite His having to scold them many times over.

God is a merciful God. He will outline the judgement for every time you are out of line. He will also show the way to escape that judgement. He will also indicate how that judgement would be met with His compassion after the punishment had been served. How do you react to a Father whose compassion does not fail?

However, it is important to know that His standards don’t get compromised. You must be full of repentance in order to get forgiveness. So, do not assume that you could do as you like, and because God missed you, He would lower His standards for you.

His promise of the coming days includes a future that contains your repentance and His forgiveness. So, ensure that you repent so that you can be forgiven.

This is how it works.

So, what do you say?

Will you accept this love that has no equal in sacrifice? Jesus’ love is without measure. Accept Him today as your Lord and personal Saviour. He is your only way out.

Jesus is Lord!
