God’s word grants us the power and authority to overcome challenges as well as to defeat evil.
The word of God is the power we need in the face of the things we encounter in life. When we are filled with the word of God, we are filled with dominance when we know how to use it right.
What we thus need is to learn to sit before the Lord every morning to learn. When we learn at His feet in the morning, the word we need to go through the day is released to us. By the word that we received, we are able to break through barriers and overthrow evil sent our way.
So, simply put, the word becomes an armour by which we fight battles. It becomes a shield by which we defend ourselves. Ephesians 6:12-17 calls it the Truth to defend us and the Sword of the Spirit for us to cut down our enemies. So, it is no surprise that it can consume and also break into pieces as written in the scripture above.
So, let us not play with the word of God in our lives. It is God’s powerhouse for our defence and offence.
