O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
Jeremiah 21:12

When God begins to give this sort of strong warnings, it seems sensible to pause and reflect. However, those made for destruction would not hear nor listen.

What always makes me to wonder is this: people who do wicked things, how they manage to sleep at night is still one thing I find difficult to wrap my head around. I am sure if they lose their sleep every night, they would have learned to avoid things that would take away their sleep at night.

When a highly placed official in a country would commit heinous crimes, including murder, and the government they serve sweep it under the carpet as if nothing happened, we then wonder why there is so much trouble in that land. Sincerely, God’s patience with stubborn and unrepentant people is legendary. However, why we should not envy them or see them as role models is that their judgement always comes calling eventually, no matter how long it takes.

If they repent, God forgives them; and that is why you should hide yourself in the secret place of God not to become their victim before they repent. If they don’t repent, God strikes them mercilessly, whether with pestilence or instant destruction. Whichever it is, God does not let them get away with their wickedness, even if their government does.

And that also speaks to the kind of people they serve. Anyone that does not want the blood of the innocent to defile their government would throw away such people from polluting their government. However, if they are of like mind and behaviour but have been able to hide theirs well enough till date, they will not see anything wrong in what those people were doing.

My candid advice to you is to take refuge in the secret place of the Most High God so that you never fall a victim of these wicked blood suckers. And the only pathway is to give your life to Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and personal Saviour. He will be a wall of defence around you day and night.

When His judgement finally comes, you will be there only to watch the reward of the wicked come to them.

May you not be caught up in the judgement to come due to carelessness and not taking action in time.
