For this saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground and sow not among thorns.
Jeremiah 4:3
God gives us directions on what to do per time. Whether we do it or not is absolutely up to us.
He continued to tell His people what was coming to them. However, He advised them to not put their precious seeds among thorns. If we have read the parable of the sower, this should be relatable (cf. Mark 4:18). In the same vein, we should not plant our precious seeds among thorns so that they don’t get stifled.
We should think deeply about our options and actions. The effects on our future and environment could be great or devastating. We should always strive to choose right to make our ways right and acceptable before God.
And let’s emphasise before God because, ultimately, that is what counts. If our actions are acceptable before us and those around us and not before God, it still leads us nowhere. So, wisdom demands that we focus on pleasing God and not ourselves. When we focus on pleasing God, we find peace and we do right always.
Let us therefore do that which will make God commend us always. The secret is in circumcising our hearts to the Lord (Jeremiah 4:4).
So, the first step to pleasing the Lord is experiencing His saving grace. If you desire this experience, comment ‘saving grace’, and I will be glad to guide you through with the help of the Holy Ghost.
Thank you, Jesus!
