Finding your Purpose

The Lord said to me, “I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.”
Jeremiah 1:4&5 (TLB)

Your destiny holds the core of your purpose on earth. And you can know it if you ask God to show you. Most often than not, we look for what is trending so that we don’t need to crack our heads to find what to do with our lives.

However, we should learn from Jeremiah. He was given a specific task for his life right from the womb. He too looked at it and felt it was too daunting. Nonetheless, God assured him of His backing if Jeremiah would stick to the plan.

You know, Jeremiah was only being human when he complained that he could not do it (verse 6). But God scolded Him and told him not to talk like that. He assured him of His support if he would do what He sent him to do.

If we recall that even Moses was scared when his life purpose was shown to him. In essence, it is okay to be scared when your vision of life is shown to you. However, being paralysed with fear or giving excuses and refusing to move forward is a different ball game.

So, my advice is that you start with giving your life to Jesus Christ. This empowers you to obey Him at all cost. He speaks to you and gives you direction. It is even only then you can have access to Him to ask for your life purpose on earth. And once you know it, pursue it. That is where your joy, peace, fulfilment and even wealth will meet you.
