For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Isaiah 66:2

Let’s continue our conversation about God’s measuring standards.

You see, we have our own ideas of who is acceptable to God. However, ultimately, it is God’s measuring standards that truly counts. We may think He should accept what we offer Him; He has the right and authority to refuse it if they do not measure up to His required level of standards.

He clearly stated in this scripture that it is those who have a repentant heart and tremble at His word. Now, someone who has a repentant heart or tremble at God’s word will not kidnap their fellow citizens and demand for ransom. The person that has a contrite heart will not cooperate with these wicked people to make Nigeria unsafe for us all.

Someone who trembles at God’s word will not hold the citizens of their country to ransom through stealing and diverting public funds for personal use or inadvertently turning our young people to criminals through hopelessness.

The list is quite long. Those that tremble at God’s word ask themselves first: What will God say about this thing I want to do? The answer from the Holy Bible will usually determine if they should go ahead or not. The Holy Spirit’s leading will tell them if God approves or not.

Of course, the Holy Spirit will not tell you to behead a fellow citizen to satisfy whatever violent urge resides within your hate filled heart. So, don’t say God sent you to do that one.

One thing I know He will want you to do is to add more people to the population of those He has justified by His vicarious death on the Cross of Calvary and His resurrection on the third day. I know He wants to meet those who accepted Him and whom He has gone to prepare a place for by His ascension to Heaven. That is a story I know He can relate to.

So, if you are not sure of what God wants, let me tell you how you can start to learn about it: Give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and personal Saviour through the repentance of your sins. He doesn’t cast away a repentant heart.

Comment ‘repentance’ below and I will be glad to lead you through until you are established in His Kingdom.

Jesus loves you.

And He will also judge the world at the end of the age, whether they like it or not.

So, it is wisdom for you to move to the righteous side with God now.

Jesus is Lord!
