Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and the Holy One of Israel; for He hath gloried thee.
Isaiah 55:5
This is a word to encourage someone today as we step into the new week.
It is not just enough to be saved. God’s blessings and favour are a sign of that salvation.
When your life draws nations to you and they want to know your God, it means you must be doing something right. As the Bible clearly notes in the subsequent verses of this chapter, when we forsake the wrong ways, God’s mercy finds us. And clearly, when we seek the Lord, His answers will trail us.
Worshipping God is our duty. Doing it right is to our favour. And then He will bless us with joy and lead us with peace. Even the hills and the mountains shall sing along while the trees shall clap their hands (anyway people in the literary space can tell you how this works!😃). But the bottom line is that when our lifestyle pleases God, He makes our life a testimony that glorifies His name.
He promised to glorify us; that is what our lives become when our ways are pleasing to Him: a glorified life.
Isn’t that just beautiful?
I believe it is smart to choose to walk with Him instead.
