The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
Isaiah 50:4
Speaking has consequences. However, when the tongue is guided by the Spirit of God, it is likely to edify.
In that case, let us learn to pause, even when we are angry and ask the Lord for grace for our tongue. If our anger is controlled by the Holy Ghost, we will likely edify even in that state.
When we are taught by the Holy Ghost, our life will show forth the brilliance of His glory rather than the darkness of our surroundings.
The Bible says our words should be seasoned by salt. Let us allow the knowledge of God that we have control the things that we do.
Then we will be having the tongue of the learned and speak a word in season to the weary soul to encourage rather than beat them down.
Nigeria 🇳🇬 has enough canes beating people; we don’t need to add ours.
And as my word of encouragement to you today, don’t you think it is enough of your running around in circles? It is time for you to seek the help of the Lord and be guided into His Kingdom for your good.
God bless your day!
