Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, I will save thy children.
Isaiah 49:24&25
For the parents of the children that were being held against their will and the families of the adults that were only in school for their daily bread, I pray this word encourages you today.
It is so outrageous that the woman in captivity was even forced to become an advocate for her captors, probably with a gun pointing at her head. There is nothing we will not see in this Nigeria.
Even if what these people are demanding is true, why won’t they face the government they have issues with and are holding captive little babies that should be in school? Will school become a place of fear for our children too? I continue to wonder if these children have even bathed since. What of change of clothes?
All I can say today is that we are praying and those that have chosen to turn the traumatic experience of others to their source of power and oppression shall get their due reward in no distant time. Their cowardice shall someday meet its due end.
Nonetheless, you don’t have to wait to become their victim first. What you should be concerned about more is how much defence do you have against these bloodthirsty (wo)men. Are you sure of your protection?
The only assured protection is in Jesus Christ the Lord. Ask Him to be your Lord and personal Saviour today to activate your own angel to be your personal bodyguard always, Psalm 23:4.
God’s presence shall continually keep you safe as you yield yourself to Him to day in Jesus name!
