And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. Joel 2:32
It is difficult to believe this scripture after the devastation that was presented in the preceding verses in this chapter. However, one thing stands out: God has said that His people will never be ashamed.
It then comes to reason to focus on what makes one become one of His people. This has been our outcry every day on this platform. It is a simple process but requires its coming from the depth of our being.
Simply: Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. Then live a life worthy of one called and surnamed with the name of Jesus Christ every day.
This is the call. And the verse of today gave God’s faithful promise that whosoever calls on the Lord shall be saved. That is all it takes.
Acknowledge your sins.
Repent of your sins.
Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Live by the standard of His word every day.
The Lord is calling you too today. Will you be among the remnants whom He has called by responding positively to His love?
May His grace enable you to do what you have to do to be worthy of Him today and always in Jesus name. Amen.
