Who is Wise?

Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein. Hosea 14:9

This is the very last verse in Hosea. And it is ending on a very high note. I was thinking of how much repentance can bring God’s mercy to those that truly repent (Hosea 14:3&4). But this scripture seems to show one thing: all of the core of salvation is captured in this one verse.

God has made provision for our salvation. It is stated in very simple terms and involves a very simple process. However, even then, only a few people take it seriously and take advantage of the opportunity it provides.

What does this mean? If the message of salvation and the life of righteousness is presented to all, the wise person will look at it and decide to walk with God in righteousness by accepting His salvation access. However, a foolish person will sit down there arguing about why he should not accept it. Clearly, God, the Owner of the house and your life has told you how you can reach Him through the only door He created to enter into His house and live right, but you are busy telling Him that you are looking for other doors to enter by. Of course, He would likely treat you as an intruder that deserves to be punished.

So, simply put, your only access is to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. That is the wise choice.

This midweek, I pray that you learn to walk in true wisdom and make the right choices to stand on the righteous side with God. That is simply the easier path eventually.

Today is the start of another Week of Spiritual Emphasis in Living Faith Church Worldwide. It involves fasting and prayer from today till Friday. There is service every evening where we break the fast with the Holy Communion. I hope you join us in any branch closest to you or connect with us on the Social Media platform accessible to you. See you there.

Jesus is Lord!
