And the Spirit entered into me when He spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard Him that spake unto me.
Ezekiel 2:2
We discussed yesterday of Ezekiel’s listening ears that prepared him to hear when the Lord spoke to him. Obviously, he received the power of His presence. This opened him up to hear clearly what was being said by God.
We need the help of the Spirit to discern. Clearly it is not enough to hear. The question also is what are you really hearing?
The Bible enjoins us to test all spirits. This is also important. Why do I need to point this out? All kinds of practices and behaviours you see exhibited in churches all around us these days make you wonder if those people are truly reading the Bible.
God’s standards are non-negotiable. It is critical for us to ensure that the Spirit received is of God. When the Spirit of God enters into us, we will surely hear the voice of God. When we hear the voice of God, we are sure to speak and exhibit the standards of God in accordance with His Word.
Where does it start? It starts with accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour. Only the Holy Spirit can enter into you to do that.
Happy New Week!
Jesus is Lord!
