In those days and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserved.
Jeremiah 50:20
This is a blissful future that God has promised Israel after they have served their punishment.
You know, when we talk about God as that village headmaster whose only job is to cane and whip us into line, we do Him injustice. For me, the most beautiful relationship is built on love. If you live and respect your partner, you don’t wait to be whipped into line to do that which is right by them.

So it is with our relationship with God. If we truly love and respect Him, He doesn’t need to read us the riot act to get us to do the right thing always. Our love for Him should be enough motivation to do right.
In addition, when we love Him, we desire a relationship with Him. This helps us make that most important decision of accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour. This is necessary because we know that God is too holy to behold iniquity. So, we need to be washed in the shed blood of Jesus Christ to become clean.
His promise is that He will forget that we ever sinned when we truly repent and become clean through His cleansing process in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Another opportunity is before you today again. Take it and be saved by His love and compassion.
Jesus is Lord!
