You can Tie God’s Hands

That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O Lord.
Jeremiah 11:5

Sometimes, the things we do tie God’s hands🤔. I know: in your mind, what sort of nonsense is that; who can tie God’s hands? Is the person mad? It is impossible. I agree with you 💯.

So, let’s take this approach. God has plainly made a covenant with you. He clearly spelt out the terms of the covenant. And you chose to violate them. Then you expect He will respond to the terms because He has promised despite your refusal to do your part. Does that sound like the Almighty God, the Faithful God to you?

Let’s use an example. He clearly stated that when you repent of your sins and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you shall be saved. You decided to do it your own way and tell Him because He has promised to save and already paid the price on the Cross of Calvary, He should apply it to everybody.

You too know that you are not being fair to Him. He has made the rules and given clearly stated conditions for you to qualify. What do you expect Him to do if you refuse to comply? Even earthly companies stick to their terms and conditions. Otherwise, you too will consider them unreliable. You can’t accuse God of being unreliable, right?

So, when we refuse to comply with His directions, we tie His hands. In this case, He is talking about obeying His voice. When we refuse to obey His commands, we limit Him from fulfilling the promises connected to the covenant He has made with us. May God open our eyes to the much benefit we are missing for being stubborn mules (cf. 1 Corinthians 2:9).

Today, you have that opportunity again to change your story by accepting Him as your Lord and personal Saviour.

Jesus is Lord!
