Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
Isaiah 60:18
This is the promise of God.
This becomes an important anchor in such a time as we are in right now in Nigeria🇳🇬. The spate of violence and destruction is quite scary. The heartlessness of these wicked people has become a worrisome thing.
One would have expected that Nigerians would turn on their oppressors to end the oppression against them. Rather, they decided that they would be attacking one another and causing one another pain. This is clearly what happens when someone has become depraved.
But here, the Lord’s promise comes loud and clear. No more violence in our land.
It comes with a responsibility: that we call our walls Salvation and our gates Praise.
In simple terms, we have the responsibility of submitting to the Lord Jesus Christ and accepting His finished work on the Cross of Calvary as being applicable to us. In the same vein, if you already did, you are expected to call your gates Praise as trust in only Him and walk in absolute righteousness is what is expected of you.
Then the Lord can step into our situation to turn around our country for good. Do not snooze on this. It appears so scary these days that to move around is by prayer and fasting. Once, the problem seemed confined to a certain part of the country but now, it appears wide spread like a cancerous growth.
And the sad truth is that those who should be protecting us are busy pursuing their personal ambition of retaining their grip on power. Even the formerly seeming untouchable have become victims of this evil these days.
So, we need the help of God to keep us safe. However, it is only those who run to His name as their strong tower who get the right to get that cover.
Delay no more. Tomorrow may be too late for you if you don’t act NOW.
