Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16

When you know where your bread is buttered, it is a sign of you developing inner wisdom. It is a sign of emotional intelligence too.

Sincerely, most of us don’t know the value found in consuming God’s word. The inner transformation that results in both a physical glow and the sharpness of our minds is not quantifiable.

This is what Jeremiah found and decided to declare. The word of God is like the food that we can consume. However, it does not mean that we put the paper or tablet on which it is written on fire, cook and eat it. Rather, it means we are feeding our spirit. When our spirit is well fed, it becomes an instrument of grace and power in the hands of God.

We also develop a great sense of responsibility and accomplishment. The truth is that when our spirit is lean, we are devoid of the needed strength to accomplish great advancements in our lives.

The second important thing Jeremiah declared is that he belongs to God. Indeed, if we are well fed and our spirit is made fat on the staple of the word of God, we gain clarity on who we are. We gain clarity on the identity of the divine nature infused into us. We begin to see ourselves the way God sees us. When that clarity solidifies, we not only live in righteousness, guided only by our understanding of who we are in God, we also exhude power to dominate our environment for God.

So, you see, Jeremiah just gave us a great secret to a successful lifestyle. But many of us probably normally think it is a waste of our time to be studying the word of God due to the pressures of life around us.

Nevertheless, the first rung on the ladder is that we must give our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ by accepting Him as our Lord and personal Saviour. This is where we start from.

Comment ‘salvation’ and I will be glad to show you how.
