Are You a Watchman Over Nigeria?

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day or night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence.
Isaiah 62:6

I was having a conversation with someone yesterday and his perspective of hopelessness on the situation in Nigeria was really troubling. In his theory, the country’s president already had an agreement with the bandits to harm the citizens and just leave him to enjoy his eight years of rule without disturbance while he returns power to one of them who is currently serving in his government afterwards. Then they can fulfil their plan of Islamising Nigeria without resistance and he would be less concerned.

So, he felt those going to church to pray are just wasting their time. Instead, they should get their own guns and fight the terrorists.

With a mindset like this, I just wonder why won’t the wicked people not be overrunning every country they go to. It seems that we forget one important thing, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Even the most intense war needs to be worn first on our knees. If we don’t first subdue the enemy in our closets, how do we win at the war front.

Aggressive evangelism is also a critical warfare tool. If we save all the potential terrorists and turn them to become those that preach the gospel, I believe they will rather live to defend the Gospel than die to defend lies and deceit.

I know of many pastors that had this same background and could see the difference between true love in Jesus Christ and the hatred they were once fed with as a staple. If you don’t know their background, you will never know that they once hated so passionately.

Indeed, will you choose to sit on the walls of Nigeria 🇳🇬 or kneel to be one of the watchmen that God has set? Will you also just look on or get up and contest in elections to remove the wicked people from power while you run away and present yourself as being too good for politics? Will you not use the opportunity to cast your vote for a better candidate rather than just assume the bad guys will win anyway, whether you vote or not. Do your part first and let God do the rest in response to our intense groaning in acceptable prayers with the help of the Holy Ghost upon His altar.

The choice is always ours to make. God does not force anyone.

Make the right choice today and stand on the righteous side with God.
