21-Day Prayer and Fasting Insights

Module 1, Day 1

I listed so many thanksgiving points as my Module 1 of the seven modules of 3 days each for the prayer session would be mostly thanksgiving. I now wonder: What really is there to complain about? I have so many reasons to give thanks to God. My book was full. Have we really been so ungrateful for all of God’s mercies in our lives that we do not even see that He has done so much already? He has been faithful beyond description.

Message from Prayer Meeting at Church:

Kingdom advancement prayer is every believer’s responsibility— Pastor LFC Ori Okuta

Kingdom advancement prayers is for the mature. It helps you to get all you would have been striving for by yourself. When you pray the heart beat of God, you become His friend.

Mark 11:17, God’s house is ordained a house of prayer and every child of God is also ordained a prayer house, 1 Corinthians 3:17; 2:9.

Abraham was said to be a man of great intercession. But he could not even find five righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah. We must continue to pray for souls to be saved. Doing what God commands will continue to change our level supernaturally at all levels of our life endeavours.

Module 1, Day 2

Indeed, it is only those that have breath that can praise the Lord. When you actually think deeply, you will be on your knees thanking God rather than complaining. Psalm 150:6 says that everything that has breath should praise the Lord. Who else can praise among His creatures except those who still owes their lives to Him. Indeed, your breath is meant to carry His praise upwards. You owe Him gratitude for your life!

Message for Prayer Meeting on Day 2.

Praying to get results — Bro Femi, LFC Ori Okuta

John 1:1

Engage in revelation driven prayer. Joshua 1:8. The word of God is what defines success. When you pray, pray according to the word. When you pray according to the word, you will get a testimony.

God’s word is the will of God on every subject. This means that the word of God is the mandate. God is the word; be loaded with the word and you will have control over every situation of life. The word is God’s last card; the word of God can never fail because He is the word, John 1:1.

We must keep God reminded of His word in our lives. We must continue to remind God of what He has said concerning our situation. The word of God is so powerful that Jesus emphasised His word. Make the word of God count. Genesis 1:1, challenge God in your prayers by His word. The word of God can change anything. Open the scripture for God to show you the future.

Module 1, Day 3

It is clear that there are many blessings God has bestowed on us through His mercies. It is necessary to recount them to appreciate how many they are. This morning, while going through Psalm 103, I saw so many of His mercies that were not deserved. However, He showed me mercy anyway. I think it is time to begin to let God ‘shiregun’ in our lives. Maybe then, we will learn to complain less. Thank you Jesus.

Message for today: these are comments by the presiding pastor after the sermon. Today is MidWeek Service so a full message was presented and not just a charge. The sermon is presented as a stand alone post on this website. You may go and read it up here.

Addendum:

John 12:24. what everyone feared is what Jesus dared. Until you dare what you dread, you cannot rule in the midst of your enemies. John 12:27 You must understand your purpose in 2026 and stay focused. John 12:28, when you stay focused, you will not lack daily news from heaven. Staying in dominion is to locate where God is sending you in this 2026. You enjoy supernatural access when you remain at the epicentre of His plan.

Module 2, Day 1

Prayers for the Church of Jesus Christ in Nigeria and Beyond

Matthew 16 — indeed what was the promise of Jesus Christ at the beginning of the Church. It is prevail. The Church is to prevail and the gates of hell should not be able to stand up to her. The question for us is how much of that are we practising. Are so strong that hell sees us and run or have we even carelessly imported hell into Church and are now trying to conform to its standards rather than setting standards for the world? It is really bothersome when we live by the rule of the world rather than set the rules for the world. The Church once had that influence. So, what happened to us. I guess we need to reflect deeply and learn to focus on the important things. Why are we distracted? And with what are we distracted? How much of my duty am I fulfilling in the scheme of things? We need to really examine ourselves as advised in 2 Corinthians 13:5. What have we lost? What remains to be done to get our acts together. The Church is supposed to stand in dominion and not pursued by murderers who thought they are doing God a favour so they could be given virgins in their imagined paradise. Let us wake up and take up our place. Join me as we pray for the Church of God in the Module 2 of the prayer and fasting season. The knowledge of Jesus Christ must fill the earth and across Nigeria as water covers the sea in Jesus name.

Module 2, Day 2

So, let’s dig into Psalm 94 today. Verse 1 says, “O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs — O God, to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.” Now, King James Version rendered the last phrase as ‘show thyself’. We all know that when God appears on the sin to execute vengeance, it is a sorry case for the enemy.

Verses 8-11 tells all those conspiring against God’s people that they are fools if they think God does not see all their schemings and evil acts against His people. When someone will deceive themselves that their source of pleasure in life is to harm Christians, are they not to be pitied?

Verse 14 shows that even though God may seem to have cast off His people by allowing them to suffer from the consequences of allowing themselves to become powerless and thus victims of the bloodthirsty enemy, it shall not be forever. He would rescue His people eventually. Word of caution for those delighting in shedding the Christian blood in Nigeria and elsewhere as if it is a game. It is not. God will recompense sooner than later!

Verse 20 sounds like despair for God’s people but verse 23 paints a picture of the clear end of the wicked people picking on God’s people.

As we pray and meditate on His word during this prayer and fasting season, let our hearts declare God’s judgement on the wicked and be assured of God’s mercy as we take our proper place and enforce His authority across Nigeria in Jesus name. We shall bow only to Him who went to the cross to rescue our souls from the depths of hell by paying the ransom with His pure and perfect blood on the Cross of Calvary. He is more than enough. Jesus is Lord!

Message from church prayer meeting — Day 5

Pastor Anderson Osiobe

Kingdom advancement prayers is every believer’s responsibility

Pastor Anderson Osiobe, LFC Lokogoma, Abuja

Luke 18:1, we are expected to pray.

Acts 6:4, the apostles never abandoned prayers

Kingdom advancement prayers is God’s heartbeat for the moment.

Kingdom advancement prayers has protocols as seen in Matthew 6:9,10.

We need to understand who God is to us; He is our Father. Matthew 6:8b, God knows our needs; so, we need to put the Kingdom advancement prayers first, He will attend to our needs.

The Example of Nehemiah

Nehemiah could be regarded as Chief of Staff, and he was given to prayers. He did not lose focus despite his busy schedule. He had a Kingdom dream: the restoration of Israel. This is what gave him a place in life and destiny. He pursued the interest of God’s Kingdom above personal desires, Nehemiah 1:4. It was his Kingdom dream and push for the Kingdom that took him to the position of governor. The answer to that your request is the pursuit of the Kingdom dream.

What are we to pray for?

  1. So that God will cause our love in Him to continue to grow. When our love for God is on the increase, growth will keep up with us, Romans 5:5.
  2. If we love God, we will serve Him in season and out of season. John 21:15-17.

Conclusion

Our love for God will always be tested. Pursue your Kingdom dream and God will lift you up.

Altar call

Come back home if you know in your heart that you are yet to give your life to Jesus Christ.

Father in the name of Jesus, draw to yourself everyone who has been drawn away in Jesus name.

Module 2, Day 3

The vengeance of God comes in His enemies because they remain unrepentant. God’s promise is that when you repent, you obtain His mercy. Most people that fight against the people of God do not understand this simple principle. The whole point of Christianity is that we were not worthy to pay for our sins. God came in human flesh to pay and release us from the horrible fate that awaited us. However, the enemy devices themselves by thinking it is foolish to believe in this vicarious death and the resurrection that gives us justification. This foolishness makes them think they can ride roughshod on God’s people and always get away with it.

However, the Psalmist understands their end and painted the picture of their destruction in Psalm 83. In verse for of this Psalm, their base motive for their evil activities was made bare. However, verse 18 shows that God’s judgement of these evil people would lead to His glorification and the stamping of His absolute authority and influence on the happenings in the world of humans. I think those that become wise by switching sides and becoming the disciples of Jesus Christ in truth can be spared from this rain of sulphur and brimstone when their lives on earth ends. But some actually also find their disappointments in the lies they have been fed all their lives in near death experiences when they find that it the same Jesus they have been lied to as not being more than a prophet would judge and determine their fate at the end of their lives and not som pleasures awaiting them there. I advise that you take a new look at the lies you have been fed and embrace the truth. That truth gives you a place in the Kingdom of God at the feet of Jesus Christ as your Lord and PERSONAL Saviour.

Module 3, Day 1

Today we begin this module with prayers for Nigeria. Let’s think about why we should. Proverbs 14:34 says that righteousness is what exalts a nation. Sin instead brings reproach to people that have chosen money as their God. I don’t know how much you know about the glorious destiny God actually prepared for the country called Nigeria. However, I do know that what is currently in her life and the diverse manifestations is not totally as God intended. This country should be where other people should be running to for succour, something like the US of Africa. But what do we have, her youths falling over themselves to try to run away. There is even a name for why people run away, so that ‘Nigeria would not happen to them’!

This is so sad for a country that God has prepared for great things.

However, the nice part of it is in 2 Chronicles 7:14. There is redemption. He gave the way out that if the people called by His name would sincerely repent and turn from their wicked ways, He would hear in heaven and heal their land. Did you hear that? God just needs our true repentance and He would show us mercy. It could sound far fetched but that is the scripture. And we walk by faith in our walk with Jehovah our creator.

Sincerely, it is time for us to leave the love and worship of money, which has greatly clouded our sound judgements and link our activities to pleasing God through moral soundness and godly choices in our everyday activities. His mercy will swallow up the evil threatening to swallow us all up in Jesus name!

Module 3, Day 2

Let’s see if anyone can answer this question: Psalm 2:1, Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

Yes, why am I asking you. Soon, you will tell me that if I ask you, who would you ask.

Indeed, a Nigerian Christian that has not thought of this is only living in self-induced ignorance. If you have not given thought to how spiritual activities control the physical, I guess you are still in the category of baby and milk drinker as Paul clearly described immature Christians.

For me the comfort is that: Psalm 2;4, He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Bishop Oyedepo was once quoted as saying that what you don’t despise will likely disgrace you — just to paraphrase. Indeed, until we open our eyes to understand that those shedding Christian’s blood in Nigeria are mere tools in the hand of the devil to make you weary in your spiritual journey and take control of your country, you won’t get up to battle for the soul of Nigeria.

Some even think that you are wasting your time praying. However, I assure you that if you truly prayer as a spiritually alert Christian, your prayers will impact every aspect of Nigeria’s life. On your knees, you can change the trajectory of the situation and take absolute control. It has started and it must be sustained by the mercy of His love and compassion in Jesus name.

Today’s church service post can be accessed here.

Today’s charge at the prayer meeting:

Engaging the altar of specific demands — Pastor Israel Akinsanya

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, RP, LFC Lokogoma

God has not stopped answering prayers. But lack of understanding and proper preparation is the reason that makes it appear as if God is not answering. John 16:26. People don’t prepare well before prayers. Mark 10:46-52, when opportunity meets with a prepared heart, miracle results. James 4:2, nothing is specific.

If they say it would only take miracle, that means it would take God. The prayer that has not been answered is the prayer you have not prayed with enough intensity.

Examples of those didn’t give up on their prayers:

  1. Hannah, 1 Samuel 1:13, Hannah did not only ask for a son but the one that would take over from Eli and continue God’s Kingdom. This aligned with God’s plan; so, God speedily answered her.
  2. Solomon, 1 Kings 3:1-14;4:29-31. Solomon asked God for wisdom to guide His people, which would advance God’s Kingdom. By this request of Solomon, you will know that he was prepared.

Conclusion

We must continue to engage the hand of God for increase this year, 1 Corinthians 3:7,8.

Dominion over the 12 anti-success spirits

The spirit of limitation

This is nothing but a spiritual restriction that was placed. 1 Corinthians 16:9, these adversaries were meant to limit. 1 Thessalonians 2:18, even Paul was hindered by satan.

They are spiritual embargoes placed on individuals, towns, cities, countries, continents, tribes. At salvation, you were delivered. But deliverance is not equal to freedom. You need to update your knowledge base so that you could be free, John 8:32. 2 Kings 6:24-

Matthew 3:12

Zechariah 1:17-21

Altar call

If you are not born again, the enemy would hold you strongly.

Lord Jesus, I am sinner. Save me and deliver me. I accept you as my Lord and personal saviour today. Thank you for saving me.

Module 3, Day 3

Think carefully about Psalm 85. It is a prayer for a troubled nation like Nigeria.

You know, many times I wonder why America does not see its gun problem as being endemic. We worry about Nigeria and the insecurity of moving from one place to other without being attacked or kidnapped. However, has it occurred to anyone that one may go out and not be sure of returning home safely as far as America is concerned?

However, a nation that acknowledges its problem is the one that can solve it. Psalm 85:1&2 talks of God’s mercy and forgiveness on stubborn Israel. I think Nigerians should also ask for these and get over greed: I was meditating this morning and I could see that if greed could be removed from our problem as Nigerians, other things could be solved. For how do you explain collecting N5000 from a politician and voting for them to make your life miserable for the next four years. The saddest part is that it is even expected.

However, verse 11 declares that Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

How do you interpret this verse other than to advise that when truth guides all we do, His mercy will show up. When righteousness prevails in our national and individual lives, peace would naturally be our reward.

The message from Church prayer meeting for Day 9:

Engaging the wonders of specific demands on the altar of prayers — Pastor Isaac Joel

Pastor Isaac Joel, Associate Pastor, LFC Lokogoma

In the house of prayer, you don’t pray anyhow. You must know what God is saying about that need and be specific, John 16:14. Jesus said you have asked nothing. This means that you have not said anything. It also means you have not clearly stated what you want. In Genesis, God said what He wanted and He got them during the creation of the universe. When you come to God, you must know clearly what you want and state it clearly.

Mark 10:46-52, Bartimeaus was shouting for mercy. However, when Jesus asked him to state clearly what he wanted, when he did, he got his answer immediately. James 4:2 says you receive not because you asked not. What does this mean? It means you have not said exactly what you want clearly. Give a clear description of the type of thing you want and God will make it happen.

Don’t be afraid to tell God what you need, Ephesians 3:15. God is able to do anything for us.

Examples:

Nehemiah itemised his requests and got them all, Nehemiah 2:4-8

Elisha — he followed Elijah about, to every city where he was ministering. Then Elijah asked him for his request. He asked for the double portion of God’s grace on his life, and he got it.

It is what you ask God that He gives to you.

Altar call

The first thing to do is to submit your life to Jesus. You need to pray and ask God to forgive your sins and get born again. That is the beginning of everything.

Addendum — RP, LFC Lokogoma

1 Kings 22:17-22, if you don’t develop yourself to have some spiritual lenses, you will be directionless. Dominion over anti-success spirit is possible. However, you must develop yourself to that point.

The spirit of impossibilities and non-achievement

This spirit operates more in the mental region.

Romans 12:2, it is the mind that gets conditioned think impossibilities and limitation.

Only two people saw the truth, and declared it, Number 13:30. The others saw fear and declared it and it consumed them. However, understand that the weapons of our warfare are not physical, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

Module 4, Day 1

Romans 14:23b ‘… for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.’

Indeed, how do you unpack this passage. Faith is such a powerful force that it makes you see ahead what you allow your heart to conceive. But much more than your imagination is that is a picture that God has painted in the scriptures. All you need for it to come alive in your hands is to see it in clear details as what God has accomplished it.

So, let’s meditate on this a bit. You have not seen Jesus but you have the confidence of His realness. That is why you trusted enough to give your life over to Him. Faith that is absolute is totally rooted in trust. No doubt about that.

Funnily enough, that is the kind of faith that God demands of us. And much more, it is the faith that Jesus admires even among His own. When your faith gets to this point, it is absolute that God will respond with answers to your prayers. I personally knew when my prosperity destiny opened up. That was year 2000 when I told myself that if God can’t do it, I refuse to rely on any uncle’s limited wealth to go ahead. My life opened up. And even the star uncle and his wife started admiring me when they saw what God started doing in my life. There is always a choice to be made.

However, when you do those things and there is no faith in your heart, the Bible says it becomes a sin. I hope we make our ways truly right with God before He returns in judgement as it would start from His house. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your understanding. May God have mercy on you and me because we’ve all fallen short of His standards in this. However, repentance brings His forgiveness. Let’s walk in trust as we are praying in these 21-day fasting and prayers so that we would not have wasted so much of God’s precious time due to our own stupidity!

Day 10 — Prayer meeting message

Engaging the power of prayer and fasting for dominion — Pastor Darlington Orji

Pastor Darlington Orji, ARP, LFC, Lokogoma

Many believers are said to be angry with God as shown by statistics.

You must follow God’s instructions in order to get out of frustration, Luke 5:4. One of the instructions of God to live a life of dominion is prayer and fasting. Isaiah 58:6. Esther 4:16,17, to move from the life of anger and frustration, you need to pray and fast. Chapter 5:1,2, things were overturned because Esther fasted and prayed. 2 Timothy 3:1, these are dangerous days and you must thus pray and fast to access revelation. What God shows you is what shows you to your world, Jeremiah 33:3. Isaiah 58:8, it is in the place of fasting and prayers that our eyes are opened. We access revelation in the place of fasting, Galatians 2:2. 2 Corinthians 4:4, until the light shines, darkness doesn’t go. 2 Corinthians 3:14-16, turning to the Lord is going to Him in prayer and fasting. Psalm 25:14; Deuteronomy 29:29. Isaiah 60:1-5, the light will not come until we arise; and arising is in the place of prayer and fasting.

2 Corinthians 11:27, Paul accessed God through fasting and prayers despite being the last to come, Ephesians 3:1-5.

Appropriate ways to pray and fast

We must come thanking God, Psalm 100:4. No matter what we are experiencing.

Continue to engage in Kingdom advancement prayers, Matthew 6:6,17,18. It is a demand that we pray first for the Kingdom, Matthew 6:16.

Engage the force of faith. Matthew 9:27-29, coming to God and not believing He can answer you is a waste of time.

We must come boldly and not beggarly, Hebrew 4:16. When coming to God in prayer, it is to make demands on God on the basis of His word.

Altar call

If you want to give your life to Jesus, come to Him as a prayer of the sinner is an abomination to Him.

Pray and ask Him for forgiveness today so you can have a new life, which is only possible in Him.

Module 4, Day 2

Matthew 6:33 — this is called the jackpot of life verse within the community of Living Faith Church Worldwide. You won’t blame the people. From teachings from the altar, the people have seen it exemplified in the life of the Presiding Bishop and his co-travellers.

Like a post I stumbled on recently on Facebook, if you would under study rather than be busy criticising the examples of the men of God he gave, you may learn a thing or two.

Sincerely, where you see excellence, acknowledge it and ask questions.

All Winners know clearly that the route is to uncommon success and favour is to focus on serving God and the interest of His Kingdom first and foremost. When God’s Kingdom become your priority, you find that all the other things you desire supernaturally fall in place. I know some would rather say this is a result of brainwashing. However, too many proofs have shown this as foolproof. The truth is that serving God to some seem like giving all your money in church. Sincerely, if you feel led of God to do it, why not. Some of us have benefited from this in the past.

However, understand that a seemingly simple thing like setting out time and effort to pray for the advancement of the Kingdom of God is more than enough to get the attention of God. And His promise is to reward you openly for all your secret labour. Seekingnout the lost souls to bring them back home to ther saviour may look like a thankless job. However, God rewards these acts of love in such a grand style that you wonder if it is more than just bringing someone to the fold of Christ. Nonetheless, when you align this with the scriptures that tell you that every soul Christ hung on the cross of Calvary for is priceless (cf. Matthew 16:26; Mark 8:37), you understand why God will give you a great reward for it.

So, when you read this scripture, think of the greatest service beyond your little earnings you don’t want to share. But think of the priceless soul your prayers or evangelism could save. He could be the next Reinhard Bonnke, David Oyedepo, William Kumuyi, Benson Idahosa, Enoch Adeboye, etc. The souls connected to be saved by these would be part of your stars when the roll call is made in heaven.

Day 11, The message for prayer meeting:

Engaging the power of prayer and fasting for dominion — Pastor Stephen Olorunleke

Pastor Stephen Olorunleke

Specific demands gain strength when it is standing on the word of God, 2 Peters 1:19. When fasting is engaged with specific demands, it results in specific answers. John 16:24,26. Jeremiah 33:3, God has given us an open ticket; it covers every issue of life. Mark 10:48, when blind Bartimeaus saw Jesus passing by, he cried out, which only attracted Jesus attention. However, it was after he was asked specifically what he needed that he got his sight. James 4:2, God wants us to be specific.

Lack of understanding and inadequate preparations are the reasons for lack of answers.

Examples

Elijah — he demanded for rain and the heaven opened up. 1 Kings 18:1, He spoke based on prophetic word but he still went to pray. 1 Timothy 1:18,19. James 5:15,16, one component of the effectual prayer is that it must be specific.

Daniel — every prayer you prayed for the Kingdom is for yourself. Daniel prayed for the Kingdom, he became number 3.

Altar call

It you know in your heart that you are yet to belonging to God. Ask Him for forgiveness.

You need to pray for His forgiveness after repenting from your sins in order to get the needed cleansing from your sins.

Module 4, Day 3

Psalm 91:13 — figuratively, the lion and adder, dangerous animals should naturally be crushed. The lion and dragon are to be trampled under feet.

Now, if you have not imbue the person of Jesus into your spirit, this could be difficult. So, what does this tell us? It shows that only those who seriously develop themselves in such a way that they could be reckoned with by negative forces would win the war against them.

Yoruba will say: the devil has power but has no salvation. The truth is that the devil pretends to have power (1 Peter 5:8). The guy gets as much clout as you decide to give him.

When you look at 2 Timothy 1:7, it is clear that God did not give us the negativity called fear. Nonetheless, we still get so consumed by it. Whereas, what was given to us is the spirit of power, love and soundness of mind to dominate our world. Whenever we succumb to the trick of the devil, we lose. But when we operate in the spirits God has blessed us with, we dominate with ease. May God grant us all the wisdom to take only the truth of God’s word to heart and leave the chaff of the devil’s deceit to him.

Jesus is Lord!

Day 12 Message

Engaging the wonders of specific demons on our prayer altar— Pastor Julius Gabriel

Pastor Julius Gabriel

A serious approach to life will always bring in results.

Prayer becomes burdensome when there is no answer. The purpose of prayers is answers. One of the ways to get result is to pray specific prayers. John 16:26, noise is not equal to prayer. Prayer must be specific to receive specific answer.

What are specific prayers?

They are rooted in scriptures, Uzziah 14:2. Prayers tied to the Kingdom as a sign of being specific, 1 Samuel 1:11. One thing is what you need to make your life count. Something may be urgent but not important, Proverbs 16:7. Acts 4:23-33, the disciples of Christ were doing many miracles. They prayed specifically for these. After great prayer came great power.

The world is tired of explanation. They are waiting for manifestation.

Nothing cancels insults like results.

The early church prayed for Peter’s release and they prevailed, Acts 12:10,11.

We must continue to engage the reaper angels to gather souls this year.

Specific prayers guarantees speed.

Altar call

Lord Jesus, I give my life to you Jesus. Have mercy on me. Forgive me my sins. I accept you as my Lord and personal saviour. Thank you for saving me.

Module 5, Day 1

Luke 6:38 — Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete out it shall be measured to you again

So, let’s unpack this scripture. We usually quote this scripture in order to prepare people for offering. However, is it also possible that the scripture could apply to how much care we give to others too? Does it apply to how much we pray for our brethren and nation? Does it apply to how much we share the burdens of others? Does it apply to how much love we share? Does it apply to how safe we make others feel? Maybe we need to sit down and meditate on the scriptures with an open mind that allows the Holy Spirit to school us. The word of God is so rich and packed that it requires truly getting the Lord’s mercy to gain insight into the deep things hidden in the word of God. Let’s ponder on these questions above and wait on the Lord to unravel the secrets in them for us. Indeed, divine secrets are accessible to those that are His friends (Deuteronomy 33:11; Amos 3:3; James 2:23). And His friends are only those who fear Him (James 4:4).

Module 5, Day 2

Module 5, Day 3

Day 15 — Message

Pastor Darlington Orji, ARP, LFC Lokogoma

Prayer and fasting, the life wire of any growing church —Pastor Darlington Orji

God wants His church to grow in every aspect, Matthew 16:18. The gates of hell is always in contention against the church. The only thing that will not allow the gates of hell to prevail is the prayers of the saints. Proverbs 4:18, know that the perfect day is the day that Jesus will come. As such , the church must continue to grow. The growth of the church signifies that Hell is being depopulated. 1 Thessalonians 2:18, satan thus hinders many from coming to church. The work of the church is to pray and fast for the church. 1 Corinthians 16:9, the adversary is always fighting against the growth of the church. If the church must resist the gates of hell from hindering those meant for salvation, it is through prayers. Psalm 2:8, the unbeliever is meant to be saved as our inheritance. As such, the church must pray. Matthew 17:19-21, it is your prayer reach that gives value to your outreach.

It is not the flyer that brings the people; it is the fire generated on the altar of prayers.

Isaiah 66:7,8, as soon as the church travails on the altar of prayer, it will prevail. Ezekiel 36:37, God is ever willing to increase the church but the church must come to a place of inquiry.

What is the place of prayer and fasting?

The church has the capacity to bring forth in one day, Isaiah 66:7,8. A church like a nation can come out in a day, Exodus 12:42; Acts 7:28. All of them came to God in one day. 1 Kings 18:30, this is the time to repair the altar of our lives; in verse 37-39, God’s fire fell in response to the prayers made on the repaired altar. Prayer is the greatest sickle of harvest, Acts 2:5,41; 4:4; 5:14; 6:4,7. Some forces of hell may not be cleared off except with the combined force of fasting. Whatever cannot stop the church from praying cannot stop her from growing.

Every praying church is a growing church; every growing church must remain praying. Acts 2:46,47, the praying must be done daily.

Altar call

You need to give your life to Christ before He can hear your prayer. If you are tired of the life with nothing to show for it, you need to hand your life over to Him first to get a difference.

Module 6, Day 1

Whoso findeth a wife, findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. (Proverbs 18:22)

God is the God of the family. How you treat yours, whether man or woman, would be judged on the last day. No one has any excuse. Ephesians 5:22-33; 6:1-4 were sent to all of us to be guided on how each member of the household is expected to behave. You have not done your part but you are busy pointing fingers at the other members of the family. Do you think that will excuse you from answering for your own part on the last day?

Prayer and fasting, the life wire of any growing church — Pastor Sadiku Gowon

Pastor Sadiku Gowon

We cannot separate fasting and prayer from church growth. It is the Holy Spirit that gives utterance for evangelism.

Nobody can force another to come to church, Isaiah 66:7, this is why praying and fasting is important for church growth. Prayer and fasting is what will continue to break the bonds of the captive. It is God’s will for all to be saved but it is prayer and fasting that sets people free. However, the devil wants people to remain in sin and keep disobeying God.

The labour room of prayers is the birth place of multitudes to the Kingdom, Acts 6:6,7. It is in the place of prayers that we destroy the hold of the wicked on the church.

In prayer we commit dying and unregenerated souls to the Kingdom.

Benefits of labour room of prayers

God will set free the bound

Hearts of stone are softened

The Holy Spirit prepares the souls to receive the gospel.

As long as we keep our hands lifted up in prayers, God will give us the souls, Exodus 17:12. Soul winning endeavour in the church is not for pastors or deacons alone. In the service units, we can also do that too, that is, pray for souls, 1 Timothy 2:1-4.

Prayer and fasting destroys all forces hindering church growth, Isaiah 58:6; 1 Corinthians 16:9. Through our prayers and fasting, we dislodge the forces of wickedness. It is when this is done is when we can now go and harvest souls.

Conclusion

One of the secrets of open doors this year is through prayer advancement prayers.

Altar call

If you are here and you are not born again, it is important that you do so as God does not hear the prayers of the sinner. You need to pray for the forgiveness of your sin so He can accept you into the beloved.

Addendum by the Resident Pastor

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, Resident Pastor, LFC Lokogoma

Praying for church growth, it is not to the advantage of the church but for our benefit. The more people in church, the less crime there would be in the society. That is why I continue to say that what is wrong with our country is not the fault of the politicians but because the Church in Nigeria is sleeping.

The prayer that will birth the revival of God is not a 5 minutes prayers.

Controlling Powers

We live in a world controlled by controlling powers, Romans 7:14-24; Colossians 2:14. The controlling powers are real but not as real as the power of God, Ephesians 6:12

The controlling powers operate through some factors. The first one is:

Self — it is one of the deadliest controlling powers ever, Proverbs 16:32. Conquer the self and every other controlling power would be tamed. The strongest hiding place of controlling powers is the self.

Hebrews 11:24-26, Moses conquered the self and chose the path of affliction with the people of God rather than the privilege of Pharaoh’s palace.

Module 6, Day 2

For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God (1 Timothy 3:5).

This is food for thought. So, why do we continue to wonder about what the problem in the church is. I guess looking at the home structure is an important part we need to check out. I continue to wonder if men are to rule with iron fist or love with a soft heart to get the church of God cooperating with them. I guess maybe if the internet generation men learn from the love of Jesus on the cross, they would understand that part of taking charge at home is learning to love unconditionally while pummelling heaven on your knees to get the object of your affection fall in line with God’s divine plan.

Does this connote foolishness on the part of the loving husband/father? No, it only suggests having been schooled enough to understand the power of God and exercise with help of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom is profitable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10). If he is subject to the Lord as directed in Ephesians 5:21,25, He would guide him perfectly every single time He needs His help to sort out matters in the home. May God help our husbands in Jesus name.

Day 17 — Church Message

Engaging the power of prayer and fasting for dominion — Pastor Enoch O. Olorunleke

Pastor Enoch Olorunleke

Genesis 1:26, the Bible recorded that we were given the dominion over the earth.

Matthew 28:18, that dominion which was lost in the first Adam was restored in Christ Jesus.

But there is a usurper that seizes power unlawfully. It is your enlightenment on this that can give you victory, John 8:32

Opposition is a strong indication of your strong position — Bishop David Oyedepo

1 John 5:4, we are fighting a good fight of faith because we have an assurance of victory.

1 John 5:19, God has given the victory.

We are in the last days when the church of Christ shall be ruling in the midst of the enemies. Psalm 110:1

In the last days, the church shall be prosperous.

The light comes in the form of ideas, inventions, Isaiah 48:17

Ecclesiastes 10:15, the how is the light. It takes empowerment to see the light and to know what to do, 2 Corinthians 8:1-3

The last days are the days of consecration, and it requires empowerment. It is to be made sacred, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Romans 1:4, it takes power to be consecrated.

Romans 8:13; 1 Timothy 2:19, the grace to live a life of consecration.

Profitable approach to fasting

Matthew 6:12, we forgive those that offended us

We must pray in line with His word, 1 John 5:14

Pray for others: Job got deliverance because he prayed for his friends.

Pray in faith, it is only the prayer done in faith that receives answers.

Altar call

Perhaps you are not yet born again and have been paying church. Tonight, Jesus is calling you. He said He has not given up on you. Come before the Lord tonight.

Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Save me and deliver me from the power of sin. I believe in my heart and confess you as my personal saviour. Old things about my life has passed away. Thank you Jesus for saving me.

Addendum by the Resident Pastor

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, RP, LFC Lokogoma

The last days, the days of His power. One of the signs is that there will be massive wealth transfer, Proverbs 23:5; Ephesians 2:6. However, it is dependent on your applying yourself to what you need to do. Deuteronomy 8:18. To be a beneficiary of these end time transfer, you must do your own part; otherwise,  God is not committed to do His part. There is always what to do in the word of God for you to change level. It is good to pray, but not until you have done the will of God would you get the results. If you are not highly consecrated, when the blessing comes, it will be a foundation for destruction. Romans 8:13, you need to cry to God for the mortification of your flesh to have victory over sin in your life. Can God trust you with supernatural wealth in these last days? God has no interest in storing our prayers; He answers them.

Module 6, Day 3

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourishin the courts of our God. (Psalm 92:13)

The truth is that the only true God is very jealous. He is also strict about His demands for us to be righteous. Being planted in God’s house does not mean you sleep in church daily but go out to be odious to those around you. It means being so rooted in Christ Jesus and His culture that He guides all your activities and decisions. I think we should think deeply about this and thoroughly examine ourselves.

Why do you go to church? You can answer this to yourself or you may respond in the comment section if you think you need to say it out; just in case you need our help to find clarity. God bless you.

Day 18 — Church Message

Prayer and fasting, the lifewire of every growing church — Pastor Ekong Godwin

Pastor Ekong Godwin

The Lord Jesus grew physically, Luke 2:40

For ever church growth and expansion, Jesus is behind it. Matthew 16:18, God gave the antidote against church not growing; Luke 4:1,14,21, the church started growing; the template is prayer and fasting. Acts 6:4,6,7, a spiritual task demands a spiritual approach. Every growing church must remain a praying chart to retain the momentum. Ezekiel 36:37, the church is not a building but people that must occupy it. Psalm 87:5, these are people of influence that God is taking of being in the church. This is why we must continue to pray. As the church is growing, everything around us will also grow.

How prayer and fasting impact

Isaiah 66:8, it guarantees noiseless breakthrough; Acts 6:7, God added even the priests to the church as a result of the apostles prayers.

Accomplishes supernatural feat, Nehemiah accomplished supernatural feat of building the wall of Jerusalem in 52 days through prayer and fasting, Nehemiah 1:2,5,11,15. Prayer and fasting can give you favour, even in the presence of your enemy. This has to do with supernatural feat.

Divine guidance is enhanced through prayer and fasting. Isaiah 58:6,11; Acts 13:2 — God will always give direction when you pray and fast, Jonah 3.

A wire will only command the respect of witches and thieves if there is power in it. So, for power to remain, the prayers and fasting must be maintained.

Altar call

Tonight if you know that your wire is dead, Jesus wants to give you life and make your life too hot for the devil to handle. Pray and ask for His forgiveness as you repent of your sins. He will forgive you and receive you to His Kingdom. But you must do away with the works of iniquity.

Addendum by Resident Pastor LFC Lokogoma

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, RP LFC Lokogoma

God will not lower His standards because of your pain. Wisdom demands that you learn what to do. When you locate the steps and follow it, you can’t miss it. If you jump up, you come down; but when you grow up, you stay up. If you want to grow above your equals, you do what they are not doing. What will take you above others is when you are able to hear God yourself, Proverbs 20:12.

If you must maintain result and improve on it, you must never forget where you came from, Acts 6:4,7. It was disciples that multiplied in Jerusalem. This also led to the salvation of many priests who were previously opposed to the faith. Proverbs 26:20, where no wood is, the fire goes out. Without the fire of revival, the church grows cold. No church can survive in this age without the fire burning on a daily basis.

Module 7, Day 1

Matthew 6:9-13

Thanksgiving

This is a big word. In this module, our focus will be on thanksgiving. The reason is this, we have been praying. However, the seal of prayers is thanksgiving as we were taught in Matthew 6:13b. The answers we seek are embedded in the heart of gratitude we express when we pray. The key to unlocking our answers is in the depth of our gratitude to He who answers prayers. The truth is that this also shows our depth of faith. Thanking God ahead of the physical access to our answers is a demonstration of our faith in the only one who can do it.

Day 19 — the Church Message

Prayer and fasting: the lifewire of a growing church — Pastor Jonathan Ochedikwu

Pastor Jonathan Ochedikwu

From the beginning, it has been the plan of God for His church to continue. Acts 6:4,7, every praying church is a growing church. When they gave themselves to prayer, the word of God increased and the disciples also multiplied.

The powers of darkness are real; but much more real is the power of God. Prayer is God’s wisdom for provoking supernatural church growth. Everyone that God brings your way and is saved may be the one that could be your deliverer tomorrow. You are here today because someone prayed you into the Kingdom. Don’t let the chain stop, Isaiah 66:7,8, Every time we travail, there is a result. We must keep travailing because we know that the soul of each person is precious to God.

Fresh revelation in the word, which is provoked by prayers, is needed for church growth. Make up may make you look good but it is only the word of God that can make it well with you. It will be your turn when you take out time to pray for the service. Acts 6:4, pray continuously for the altar.

Prayer and fasting makes the church refreshing like a watered garden, Isaiah 58:6; Psalm 23:2. When we keep praying for the fresh word of God, God will keep adding to His church.

Altar call

You might be like me that stepped into service one day and my word came. You need to give your life to Christ. Pray for Him to add you to His Kingdom by repenting of your sins and asking Him to come into your heart. Then, you become a child of God.

Addendum by the Resident Pastor

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, RP LFC Lokogoma

Nothing breaks evil chains like the word of power. Praying for service is for your own benefit. Number 23:19, if your life is not changing, it may mean that you are not living up to the system of the church. There must be something wrong with you that you need to correct. Psalms 126:1,2, their testimony was not hidden when the Lord visited them. Even their enemies could see all that God did for them.

Module 7, Day 2

Psalm 100:1-5

God is faithful. He cannot deny Himself. For the sake of His loving kindness, you need to sing His glory before the people.

I cannot explain the flow of joy within me these days as I go to the church. My dance steps have changed. I guess I am understanding that the ways of God these days are just too perfect for us to ignore. His faithfulness is beyond description. Fulfilling your purpose on earth is the greatest thank you that you can give to God.

Let’s bow before our maker and let us worship Him. Only He deserves it.

I guess the instructions are clear, we should make a joyful noise unto the Lord and serve with gladness. He would definitely accept our heartfelt praises as we are praying for results during the 21-day fasting and prayer. After all, it His grace and enablement that has helped to this time. Praise be to God.

Module 7, Day 3

Praising and Thanksgiving

God deserves our praise because He is our creator.

He deserves our thanks because He is our ever present help.

Indeed, how does one go through life triumphantly without acknowledging His many mercies and deliverances in our lives. Only a fool indeed will say that there is no God. All His works are on display around us to acknowledge His mercies and worthiness all through.

Day 21 — 25.1.26

The Church Message — Pastor Israel Akinsanya

Pastor Israel Akinsanya RP LFC Lokogoma

Luke 24:48,49, Christianity minus power is a dead and fake religion. We live in a wicked world. Everyone is using something; but if you are not empowered enough to stand, you could be used for something.

Acts 1:6-8, you are global personality by redemption. But the potential won’t see the light of day until the power of God comes upon you. And this power is for all believers and not only those ministering on the altar.  Everything gravitates towards where the power is. You need the power in daily dimensions.

Blessing  — if things are not working the way you desire, blessing is missing. Blessing simply means empowerment to succeed where others failed, fruitful where others are barren, to make progress where others are stagnated. Genesis 1:28. A person that is blessed can never be cursed. Genesis 12:1-3, when blessing comes, greatness becomes inevitable. 2 Kings 5:1; 1 Chronicles 4:9,10, never allow your name, past or circumstances to define your future. You can reverse it. Anyone with the blessing of God will attract people and opportunities.
