1 Timothy 4:7, 8,
Pastor Isaac Joel

Introduction
Sacrification means to be set apart and made holy. It is to stay away from any kind of sin.
To be glorified is to be fully perfected and honoured. Sanctification brings us into honour. It brings us into a place of glory. Our sanctification is for our good.
Sanctified to be glorified is to be set apart for glory and honour. Righteousness will bring promotion to us.
1 Timothy 4:7, 8, we are commanded to sanctify ourselves.
The profit from spiritual exercise is not temporal, 1 Timothy 4:8, making heaven is the topmost benefit.
Sanctification
Sacrification is the greatest asset to the believer. Sanctification is not free. So satan is on the hunt for believers to keep them from sanctification. Sanctification gives us value, Luke 22:31. Hebrews 12:1-4, God doesn’t hold our past against us; He will write off our past misdeeds when we truly repent. God does not remember our past.
Ezekiel 18:20-24, if you repent God will forget your sins and when you backside, He forgets your past righteousness. Exodus 7:12, we overcome the mystery of iniquity by the mystery of godliness, 2 Thessalonians 2:5-7.

Benefits of sanctification
We are sanctified to be honoured, lifted, promoted and become like God.
Sanctification empowers believers for exploits, Daniel 11:32. By the knowledge of God, you are sanctified and empowered to do extraordinary things. Job 29:14-16, 18,
It secures supernatural deliverance when there is an attack. Psalm 34:7, even though there is evil everywhere, God preserves His people. Sanctification is total declaration for God and thus total protection, 1 Peter 3:13. We are preserved and secured by sanctification. Your sanctification is your protection.
It guarantees generational posterity. As you become more Christ like, it impacts your descendants, Genesis 22:17, 18.
It guarantees eternity with Christ. No sanctification, no heaven, Luke 13:25. Strive to enter by living a sanctified life.
Demands for sanctification
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, James 4:4.
Be delighted in keeping the commandments, John 14:21.
Keep pressing towards your goal to make heaven. This is the ultimate reward. There are some rewards on earth, but the ultimate is eternity with God, Luke 16:16.
