Sanctification is Profitable to All Things

Introduction

At the root of our glorification is sanctification.

The problem is the mind. Don’t just be in religion. Sanctification is what will bring about spirituality.

2 Timothy 2:19-21, God is looking for who to use; but may you be qualified. Perfection is only of God. We are all working towards perfection. Matthew 7:1-6, stop concentrating on others lives while leaving yours out.

Sanctification is Profitable to All Things

1 Timothy 4:7, 8,

You must be purposeful in the life you are living, focused on eternity. 

Genuine salvation is the launching pad for a successful life in the Kingdom; but not without accepting responsibility for sanctification. Your standard should be the word of God and not your pastor. Isaiah 51:2; Hebrews 12:2, the Old Testament said to look to Abraham but the New Testament said to look to Jesus as our standard. 

Sanctification is about living a life of purity. In this life, there is nothing of value which is free. Sanctification is the most valuable asset to the believer. 

Salvation turns us to the arch enemy of the devil, whether we know it or not, Colossians 1:13. Satan is always on the hunt to bring down the believer. You must make up your mind as a believer so as not to sell out. Luke 22:30-32; Hebrews 12:1-4, sin is a weight and it can either distract or disturb us from the race of life. Never use the sins of others to bring them down. God doesn’t hold our past against us; He wipes them off once we show true repentance. 1 Kings 21:25-29; Numbers 14:18; Ezekiel 18:20-24.

We understandrstand from the scriptures that the mystery of godliness will swallow up the mystery of wickedness, 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4; 1 Timothy 3:16.

Why is sanctification so important?

It is for your own good. It is a personal benefit.

Godliness engenders divine favour, Genesis 37:1-50, Joseph enjoyed the favour of God, despite everything done against him. Favour will bypass protocols. Every single child of God needs the signature of God’s favour on their life, Psalm 5:12. You also enjoy a shield of His protection. When He brings the favour into your life, He protects it.

It engenders divine health. Health is superior to wealth. Everything loses value when a person’s health is challenged, John 5:1-8, 14. What sin does is to open a crack for the devil to operate, Mark 2:5

It engenders access to the spirit of excellence. For a child of God to fail an examination, something is wrong. You need to come under the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Daniel 1:8, Daniel purposed in his heart never to defile himself. Daniel 1:21, he had an excellent Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Revelation 21:8, liars, in addition to those listed in the preceding scripture.

Demands of sanctification

Purpose to live a godly life. Be intentional in living the godly life, Daniel 6:5-8

Watch and pray, don’t just pray, be sensitive in the spirit.
