‘’To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven’’
Yet people talk of time as ‘’a scarce commodity’’, a thing beyond man’s control
And a ruthless gate keeper that enforces aging and bodily frailtyfor all and sundry
A major constraint to the accomplishment of set goals and a factor for lame excuses
Time is an ever-flowing river readily available, yet insufficient to assuage one’s thirst
Times and seasons are significant factors that define our destiny journeys
The real issue before man is not lack of time, but lack of its prudent management
‘’To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven’’
Yet people complain, ‘’time is gone, time waits for no one’’, ‘’I have no time’’
But no one ever tells where time has gone or attempted to stop time from going
Except for the technology of the clock, we are oblivious of the idea of motion of time
Time, according to divine order, is segmented into periods of the day and of the night
Dry and wet seasons split into spring, summer, autumn and winter in some climes
The real issue with man is not lack of time, but lack of its prudent management
‘’To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven’’
Time is an inexhaustible ocean from which every one draws water with a God-given cup
The water is ever there in the ocean, and the cup is there in every one’s hand till death
The volume and quality of water drawn from the ocean is everyone’s responsibility
Great achievers as well as non-achievers came to the world with the same size of cup
No one has a longer day than another; neither does any have a shorter night than another
The real issue with man is not lack of time, but lack of its prudent management
‘’To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven’’
Humans have their seasons segmented into childhood days, youthful eras and adult years
Seasons of trial, seasons of triumph, seasons of defeat and victory, sorrow and joy
All premised on the concept of the ever- available time like an ever-flowing river
‘Time wasting’ as conceived by men is not really time wasting but life wasting
Aging does not apply to time as it does to man; none therefore, can outlive time
The real issue with man is not lack of time, but lack of its prudent management
May God help us to number our days so as to apply our hearts to wisdom.
HAPPY NEW MONTH
