Pastor Innocent Agbonwhesse

At the point of salvation, every believer is given a measure of faith, Romans 12:3.
However, we have the responsibility to build on that faith. This is important because faith is in levels, dimensions and measure.
There are dimensions of faith as recorded in scriptures.
No faith level, Mark 4:38-40, every tomorrow has two handles; you can decide to take hold of it by anxiety or by faith. From their faith language, a believer becomes weak or defeated
Little Faith, Matthew 14:29,30. When Peter saw the boisterous wind, his faith left him. Little faith will always provide little result.
Great faith, Matthew 6:36, the Canaanite woman. Matthew 7:28. There is something about faith: if you don’t have it, you can’t understand it; if you have it, you don’t need explanation.
Very great faith, 2 Thessalonians 1:3. Pastor Gloria Copeland called it the ‘bulldog’ faith.
Supernatural faith, the spirit of faith, 2 Corinthians 4:13. It is a faith that doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer.
2 Corinthians 13:5, examine your faith if it is still intact.
We don’t repent into faith; we grow into it.
The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith while the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety. Our faith determines our experience in life.
How do we build our faith?
Faith grows by the word of God. It doesn’t mean only in the church, Romans 10:17. If you want your faith to grow, it must be in every possible way you can access it. Psalm 119:18
It takes genuine labour in the word for your faith to grow. Hebrews 4:11,12.
Faith is a personal spiritual asset. This is why every believer must take responsibility for their faith, Matthew 9:29
We must connect with anointed teachers.
There are two types of people that fail in life: those who listen to nobody or those who listen to everybody.
How do you build your faith?
By books: Paul was a book addict, 2 Timothy 4:13. The outstanding faith of Daniel was built through books, Daniel 9:2
Engaging with the testimony of others, Psalm 119:111. Do not be afraid. Take small steps. Just be sure that they are steps of faith.
Though Abraham’s faith was post-dated, he staggered not, Romans 4:20. He knew whose signature was on the cheque. He was giving God glory.
Conclusion
In concluding, it is not the size of your body that makes you win a fight; it is the size of your faith. This is demonstrated by David in his fight with Goliath
Altar call
You can be in church and not in touch.
Lord Jesus. I come to you. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse me. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I am now born again. Thank you for saving me.

In Africa, it is so bad that until we end the blame game, there can be no progress. Don’t hide under spirituality. Many are hiding under spirituality and their life is not moving forward. As far as this Kingdom is concerned, it is your faith that will move you forward and not anything else. The area of your life where you are deficient the most is that area of your life where you lack faith the most. Study Bible characters to see how they overcame their challenges. Settle down with Christian literature until you catch the light in that area of your need.
Understand that no one brought faith into this world. You must take personal responsibility to build your faith. Matthew 9:21,22; 14:36. No faith can ever grow without hearing, studying the word of God.
It is not where you are that matters but who you are in God. No matter where you are today, you can change the environment by your faith.
Settle down with the word of God and let the word settle you.
Build your faith by praying in the Holy Ghost, Jude 20.
