Introduction

Proverbs 21:16, a person without spiritual understanding is not different from a dead person. When we have an understanding of what is and can be accomplished, we will commit ourselves to the demands of building our faith. Faith is critical to the spiritual life of a believer. Proverbs 4:23, if you don’t guard your heart, you are at the risk of losing your life; in the same vein, if you don’t guard your heart, you may lose your faith. Faith failure is equal to spiritual death. This is because faith is a spiritual force which opens the believer to a world of possibilities. Faith does not make things easy; faith makes things possible, Mark 9:23. If you can have faith in God, there is no impossibility with you. Mark 10:27, all things are possible when faith is available in the life for the believer. Hebrews 11:6, ambitions of life will culminate in possibilities with faith. When there is no faith, that situation is impossible. Your faith determines the quality of your life. If anything goes wrong with your faith, you life will be in shambles. Luke 22:32, faith failure is worse than heart failure.

Everything concerning the believer is anchored on faith. Ephesians 2:8&9. Our salvations is rooted in our faith. Habakkuk 2:4, without faith, you can’t have impact. You must live by your own faith because that is what you live by. We walk by faith. Outside faith, you are grounded, 2 Corinthians 1:24, we stand by faith and we walk by faith, 2 Corinthians 5:7. Everything we do in the Kingdom is by faith. Everything in this Kingdom answers to your faith, Matthew 9:29.

Faith failure is worse than heart failure.

Faith is a personal responsibility. Every believer has the responsibility of building their faith. If you refuse to build your faith, you will never have result.

What is the responsibility?

We must commit ourselves to the studying of the word to build our faith. Romans 10:17, the first hearing is letter while the second hearing is understanding.

We build our faith through prayer and fasting. A genuine commitment to prayer and fasting builds our faith, Jude 20. As a believer, if you are not baptised in the Holy Ghost, you are just praying. The more we commit to praying in the Holy Ghost, the more our faith growth. To experience the growth of your faith, you must commit to a lifestyle of prayer and fasting. You download the things that are hidden in the secret realm in the place of prayers. Jeremiah 33:3. The reason you are afraid of the devil is because you have not grown your faith. In the place of prayers, our understanding is  quickened, Hebrew 4:16.  The devil thrives in the area of our lives where we are ignorant, 2 Corinthians 4:4. The devil will do everything to keep us in ignorance. When understanding comes, we have revelation which gives us light. Prayer and fasting opens our eyes to see what God is doing per time. Isaiah 58:6-10, All these things cannot go until we pray and fast. Light will not rise until we commit to a lifestyle of prayer and fasting. The light is downloaded in the place of prayer.

Biblical Examples

Daniel maintained the altar of prayers fervently, Daniel 10:1, it is what God reveals to you that will reveal you to your world, Daniel 5:11.

Apostle Paul gave the testimony of his own life in the place of prayers and fasting, 2 Corinthians 6:5; 12:7. He had an abundance of revelation. Even Peter testified about him. Acts 24:14, he had

Why build your faith?

It takes faith to go through the fire of life without feeling the heat or get burnt, Isaiah 43:2. Daniel 3:21,22, the three Hebrew boys went through the fire and no smoke or effect of the fire was found on them.

It takes faith to keep the enemy on the run, Hebrews 11:34; 1 Peter 5:8,9

It takes faith to overturn evil report to a good report, Numbers 13:28;14:8. Every time you get a contrary report, speak against it and overturn it with your faith.

Altar call

Lord Jesus I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. I believe you died for me and rose up the third day for my justification. Thank you for saving me.

Addendum by RP

Faith is essentially the summary of our Christian journey.

Matthew  17:18-20, whatever you are going to do in this Kingdom is dependent on your faith per time. Daniel 3:23, Jesus did not need someone to introduce Him; Nebuchadnezzar recognised Him in the fire. Faith is a personal adventure.

You must have that day of personal fasting, you alone with God.

Exodus 14:24
