Engaging the Turnaround Power of Faith, Part 1c

Introduction

The God we serve is interested in turning things around for our sake, Ezekiel 21:27. God is committed to turning things around in our favour.

Redemption is the foundation of things turning around in our life. We must first turn to God for things to turn. Until we turn to God, greatness is not in view. John 1:12, as many as received Him as their Lord and personal saviour, He is committed to turning things around for them. Things are permitted to turn when we turn to God. Faith is the force that turns things around for us, Mark 9:23. If you can only believe God for that turn around you need, it will turn. 1 John 5:4, if you will only engage faith, you will have victory. Hebrews 11:33-34.

If faith is so powerful, why are many believers faced with challenges?

Mark 10:17-21. It is because they don’t understand faith and how to activate it. Luke 18:8, there are many who say they have faith but do not seem to express it. To know who have faith, listen to what they say. They don’t say their conditions but what God has said. Faith is a spiritual currency that we have been given to obtain all the gifts of God. If all the promise of God are not manifesting in your life, it is a sign that you lack faith. If faith is in your heart, you will not be afraid to declare it.

Faith is fake if it lacks proofs, John 10:37; Acts 2:22. It is proof that  validates our faith. If you lack proof, it means you don’t have faith. Every salvation that is genuine comes with results. Every time you are lacking victory, it is a proof that your faith has not come alive. Running from pillar to post, looking for who to deliver you is a proof that you don’t have faith. That is why you need to develop your faith. Life answers to you according to your faith, Mark 9:27-29. Every time you cry to God, the question would always be: “Do you believe I can do this?” The degree to which you have developed your faith will be the degree that things will answer to you. Every breakthrough in the Kingdom is traceable to obedience of faith to whatever God commands one to do in His word, Deuteronomy 28:1-12; Luke 1:45; Mark 9:23. Every time we commit ourselves to obeying what God says, we enjoy breakthrough.

Stop pursuing blessings because you will never catch up with them; begin to pursue God.

What is faith?

Faith is obeying God to prove that you believe Him, so as to have God confirm His word, James 2:18. If you have faith, there must be work.

Faith is reasoning with God in the light of His word in order to discover what to do for His promises to be actualised, 1 Timothy 4:13; Hebrews 4:12. The Bible is the divine documentation of what the believer is to do per time. Your success is no longer in the hands of God; it is in your hand. Find what to do and do it.

Faith is not waiting for God to work; it is putting God’s word to work, so as to commit God to make good His promises, Philippians 2:12; 2 Corinthians 6:2; Philippians 3:27,28. If you wait, and don’t do anything with the divine instruction, nothing will happen. Every agenda of God has a time tag.

Faith works by love, that is, faith deliver to the level of your love for God, Galatians 5:6. It is your love that determines how much He reveals Himself to you. That is why He asked Peter about his love, John 21:15.

Our love for God is determined if we go after souls He died for, John 3:16. If you claim to love God, what is your sacrifice to prove it, Galatians 5:6.

How powerful is faith?

It secures the hand of God at will, Isaiah 53:1; 1 Kings 8:15,24

Faith provokes divine intervention whenever it is required, Mark 2:1-12; Matthew 9:27-29.

Faith draws on the power of God to accomplish the impossible, Luke 8:40-48; Mark 10: 46-52; Daniel 6:6-16,19-23.

How do we grow our faith

Faith grows by hearing and understanding the word of God, Romans 10:17; Acts 8:23-26; 2 Timothy 2:15.

Faith grows by meditating on the word because meditation boosts spiritual understanding, Psalm 119:97-100.

Business and career breakthrough

God wants us to prosper in all we do, Psalm 1:1-3. It is required that we apply ourselves in whatever we do, Joshua 1:8. Through the life of the prodigal son, we can discover secrets of business breakthrough, John 15:13. Every time you travel far from God, you have signed up for failure without knowing, Matthew 6:33. Prosperity is not about where you reside but who you are connected to.

  1. Give Christ the first place in your life.
  2. Money is not meant to be spent only; but to be invested.  When you are spending above your income, you are living a riotous living like the prodigal son. We must cultivate the culture of saving and investment. Not everything that comes into our hand that is bread; we must keep the seed.
  3. Luke 15:14,15, the association that you keep determines what is in your life. To whom you join yourself determines what joins itself to you.
  4. Be given to excellent mindedness in your services. Don’t give shoddy service; do the best you can
  5. Learn the art of speaking to your business and career, Numbers 14:28. God will only confirm what you speak.

Altar call

You want to give your life to Jesus Christ or you want to return to Him from backsliding. Do that now and pray for His mercy to save you.

Addendum by RP

Pastor Israel Akinsanya, RP, LFC Lokogoma

Life is not as hard as you think. What you do with the word of God determines where you are placed in life. There is what to do and what to distance yourself from. It is not everyone enjoying life that is corrupt. They only have access to secrets you don’t have.

It is not where you are that will command your breakthrough in life but who you are in God.

To jump up is to fall down but to grow up is to stay up.

For breakthrough in business, be a person of good character. Leverage on network of relationship.

Integrity is currency. Character is a currency.

Faith is a currency that can never fail.
