Don’t Replace the Bible with Psychology in your Marriage

Introduction

If you don’t have a clear understanding of scriptures, your marriage will suffer rupture. 

The institution of marriage is governed by spiritual laws. 

What are the responsibilities in a godly home?

They are clearly stated in Ephesians 5:22-25. The responsibility of both husbands and wives are clearly stated. 

Because people don’t want to agree with the tenets of the scriptures, they have replaced the Bible with Psychology. 2 Corinthians 5:17, your lifestyle must align with the word of God. Your marriage is not the first to be challenged and it would not be the last. When it comes to marriage, don’t pattern your life after the pattern of psychology; anything not drawn from the word of God cannot sustain a marriage. 

Ephesians 5:21 requires submitting to one another in the fear of God.

If women submit to their husbands the way they submit to their bosses and pastors, the world would be a better place. You are not equal to your husband; he is your boss. Don’t allow your age or qualification to move you to disobey. If you are not submissive to your husband at home, it is an indication that you have never submitted to God. Verse 23, don’t upturn the order. He is the head and it houses all the delicate features. A headless body is a monster. 

The head is useless without the body. Ephesians 5:25, husband you are to love your wife the way Jesus loves the church. If you can get this, you will succeed in marriage. 

If you are yet to marry, this is the main thing you need to understand. 

God is a perfect matchmaker: He would never bring together people who are not good enough. He would bring together perfect people to each other and also two deceivers to each other.

If you are a husband, know your boundary, you don’t treat your wife like a house girl. You deal with them with knowledge. 

There is no perfect marriage anywhere. It is two people who make up their minds that the marriage must work and thus easily forgive each other. 

Beware of pride, especially sisters. When you are a spiritual person, when the right person comes, it would click.

Let go those that insist on sleeping with you first before they can decide to marry you.

Conclusion

Psychology will only give you a relief for the now.
