God’s Perpetual Faithfulness

Enjoying His love

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips (Psalm 89:34)

Indeed, a major part of our trust is build on this attribute of God. He is eternally faithful to His word. He takes us from the place of our lowlifes and exalts us to the divine level by imbuing us with the nature of Christ Jesus. If we do not hold fast to this understanding of who He is why would we retain the righteousness that would keep us worthy of Him. Hopelessness usually stems from the lack of the understanding that God always has our back, no matter what.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I do not subscribe to the lies of once saved is saved forever. That is not scriptural. What is scriptural is that if we continue to honour God, He would continue to honour us (1 Samuel 2:30). Ask Eli and his sons, if you doubt me. You can also ask Lucifer when he began to think that he and God are mates (Isaiah 14:12&13).

Clearly, what that means is that God is eternally loving and kind. We have enough proof in scriptures to understand this. However, we are also aware clearly that He will judge the world when He returns (Jude 6; Revelation 1:7; 20:12). You need to choose the side you are on: Are you with God and righteousness or are you with the other enemy and think sin is no big deal. The choice of life and death is before us; but we are advised to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19).

When we choose life, He is there to take us through whatever is before us. Even when we choose the other one, He always sends us warnings and opportunities to change our ways so He could still bring us to His bosom in order to escape eternal judgement (Revelation 10:11-15). These clearly show His eternal faithfulness, either way. So, wherever we end up, justified or condemned, is absolutely a choice we have made. That is the truth God showed me the day I was saved when He interpreted that scripture to me that out of your own mouth you shall be judged.

People of God, which shall it be?
