Engaging the Power of Thanksgiving for Triumphant Living

Bishop David Oyedepo

2 Corinthians 2:14, by redemption, we are entitled to all round triumph. We are entitled to triumph always and in all situation. Genuine thanksgivers are never stranded.

Thanksgiving usually graduates into praise. Psalm 100:4. True thanksgivers graduate to praise.

Genuine thanksgiving usually has a basis. Jesus gave thanks for the Father hearing Him and He said He would hear Him again.

1 Corinthians 15:10, we owe God thanks for making a difference in our lives, 1 Corinthians 3:7; James 1:17, every good gift is from God. God has been good to us with good health.

Returns for thanksgiving

It facilitates access to revelation. Revelation gets believers on a flight, Isaiah 60:15,22

Thanksgiving empowers our stewardship to be profitable, Deuteronomy 28:47,48. For the abundance of all things. 2 Corinthians 9:7, when investing your time and energy, do it cheerfully so it can be rewarded. Cheerful stewardship is the only one that flies.

Thanksgiving triggers supernatural turnaround in our various endeavours, Habakkuk 3:17-19. As you give thanks, God shows up with favour and profitable ideas. Psalm 42:5; 45:11. John 11:41, Jesus was giving thanks while others were thinking.

Thanksgiving is the supernatural mystery behind church growth. The same thing with your life. Jeremiah 30:19, 20, if you give thanks as you pray, the growth shall be exponential. Intense thanksgiving will always trigger supernatural growth. This is what makes thanksgiving the spiritual channel for the realisation of our glorious destiny.

Three things happen when we give thanks

Our blessings are preserved, Malachi 2:2,3.

Thanksgiving multiplies His blessings. Thanksgiving is a self-multiplier

Thanksgiving leads to the perfecting of God’s blessings in our lives, Luke 17:19.

His blessing comes our way in phases, little by little.

Altar call

There are those that need to turn their lives to Christ and secure eternity in heaven with Christ. Cry out and ask Jesus: ‘Jesus, save my soul and make me a member of your family’.

The second group are those like the prodigal son that need to return to Him. You need to tell Him that: ‘I am returning back home and today’.

Both groups should pray this prayer now:

Lift your right hand to heaven and pray like this:

Lord Jesus, save my soul. Forgive me all my sins. Wash me with your blood. I am justified by your blood and and I am saved. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I proclaim you as my Lord and Saviour. Empower me to serve you from this day forward.

If you prayed this prayer, contact us for further guidance on how you can grow in the faith and become a true child of God.
