The name of Jesus as our spiritual weapon

Sickness and diseases are weapons in the hand of the enemy, John 10:10. However, the deliverance of God is health in abundance. Job 2:7, these are attacks of the wicked. Matthew 8:15,16, Jesus rebukes fever from Peter’s mother in law. All these show that sickness is of the devil. Luke 13:11-16, the woman was bound for 18 years but Jesus set her free in an instant.

Until we have the understanding of what belongs to us, we remain under the control of the devil. Revelation of the word of God is what sets us free, John 8:32; Proverbs 11:9. It takes the knowledge of the truth to be free from the attack of the wicked. Incurable disease also bow to the healing power of Jesus through the word of His mouth, Acts 10:38; Matthew 8:16. 

Our weapons of warfare against satanic assaults are not ordinary, 2 Corinthians 10:4. 1 Samuel 17:30-32, but if we don’t know what we have, we may not be able to engage them effectively. The weapon we will look at today is the name of Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus can be used for both defence and offence. Understanding is what makes the difference. It is the understanding of that name and how to use it that delivers for you, Proverbs 18:10. 

What is in the name of Jesus that empowers for dominion? 

1. The name of Jesus is full of healing wonders, including healing wonders, Isaiah 9:6; Acts 9:34. 
2. The name of Jesus is God’s irrevocable gift to the Church; and it is still in force today, Romans 11:29; Philippians 2:9,10. 2 Kings 13:21, the bone of Elisha had the potency to raise the dead, how much more the name of Jesus Christ given to us to subdue any forces not of God.
3. The healing virtue of Christ flows through His name to heal, deliver and set free, SOS 1:3; Acts 9:39. When you mention the name. Whatever has a name bows to the authority of the name of Jesus, including sicknesses and diseases, Philippians 2:9-11. 
4. It is a strong tower against all evils of the day, including sickness and disease, Proverbs 18:10. Your salivation and healing is in the name of Jesus. 
5. Demons are cast out through the name of Jesus, Luke 10:17-19.
6. When we anoint the sick in the name of Jesus, they are healed because that name is potent and powerful, Acts 6:7
7. Supernatural strength is in the name.

How to engage the name

1. You must have Jesus in your life before the name can work for you. Acts 19:11-16.
2. We must believe in the efficacy of the name of Jesus, Acts 3:16. 
3. Engage the name of Jesus boldly against all attacks of the enemy. 

You must expect the instant manifestation of His healing wonders.
