BREAKING NEGATIVE PATTERNS

Dele Adeyanju

Negative patterns; like father like son occurrences; like mother like daughter stigmata

A recurring decimal in the bloodline that makes the wise look stupid

An identity of one’s ancestry or native background; a reference point of ridicule

This cause of whispers and innuendos that undermines one’s integrity and potentials

Must not only be broken, but must have its footprints completely erased

No more shall it be said by the uncharitable and misguided folks

That “the fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set at edge”

Negative patterns of unknown sources but obvious among people of the same roots

Patterns of ill-luck, near success syndrome, delay, disappointment and denial

Mysterious inter-generational limitation to specific levels of accomplishment

This cause of embarrassment and palpable negative insinuations and mockery

Must not only be broken, but must be treated as a forbidden fruit in one’s garden

No more shall it be said by the unlearned and unkind appraisers

That “we have piped unto you, and you have not danced…”

Negative patterns emanating from ancestral curses and covenants

Problems orchestrated by the misdeeds of forebears affecting posterity

The sins of Gehazi, Ahab and Jezebel visited on their descendants

This cause of disastrous heritage and perennial reproach staring at innocent faces

Must not only be broken, but must be seen to have been permanently reversed

No more shall it be said of your situation by gainsayers and taunters

That “a generational curse runs in their bloodline”

Negative pattern breakers of all ages have always dared their plights

They refuse to accept their evil heritage as their irreversible lot

With doggedness, they strive and thrive in the midst of adversities

Deploying the weapons of accountability, diligence and supplication

Jabez broke the pattern of generational sorrow and became honourable

Rahab broke the pattern of harlotry and was listed with the heroes of faith Now may we all proclaim, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law…”

May we not continue to bear the burden already borne by Christ

Happy New Month!
