Tongue-fired faith: This is the faith that is fired by what you say, Mark 11:23. It is a tongue-channeled faith. Romans 10:10. Our tongue is a weapon of war by scriptural understanding, Luke 21:15; Matthew 7:24, 25. But its misuse can be devastating, Ecclesiastes 5:6; James 3:5-7; Numbers 14:22

Watch your tongue by first watching the thoughts of your heart. Someone else’s success will not stop yours.
How much power is in our tongue?
The more we engage with the word will determine how much power will be in our tongue. Nine points to note.
- Words are seeds, Luke 8:11; John 14;9; 17:18; 20:21; Genesis 8:22. Every idle word will be accounted for. You don’t need to mean it, it will grow. Be careful the words that drop from you because seeds will grow and harvest will follow.
- Our words carry creative power, Genesis 1:4, 31. Our words are creative. The things we say will create our tomorrow. Genesis 1:31; Romans 4:16, 17, you call to create; so, they come to be. It is what we call that answer. You can call forth your destiny from obscurity to limelight.
- Words are prophetic. Your personal prophetic source is your word, Isaiah 34:15; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Ezekiel 37:7. When you declare what the word says, you are operating in the realm of the prophetic.
- Words are spiritual barrier breakers. Jeremiah 23:29; Luke 21:15. Command and the barrier clears. These barriers are forces of darkness. His word in our mouth is light, Matthew 4:7, 11.
- Words are like fire that burns off every chaff in and around our life, Jeremiah 23:29; 20:9.
- Angels that excel in strength runs with our words to deliver, Psalm 103:20; Hebrews 1:14; Ecclesiastes 5:6. Be careful what you say; angels are waiting on you to carry out whatever you say. It is never late to be right.
- Words have capacity to silence our enemies, Psalm 81:10-12. Open your mouth wide against what you don’t want. Truth will always outlast lies. The devil wants you to shut up. Having done what God asks you to do, open your mouth and declare it, Luke 21:15.
- We provoke signs and wonders through the tongue, John 3:8. To be speechless is to be signless. You can’t have miracles without your word at work, John 18:3-6. Acts 14:3, they were speaking with a bold heart, strengthened with the word.
- What we declare is what God confirms, Mark 16:20. What is not preached, God cannot perform. It is what we preach that God performs. It is what you declare that God confirms.
To be ashamed to declare the truth openly is to keep losing the battle against the enemy. This is why a closed mouth is a closed destiny.

Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”
