Backstabbers’ Time is Limited

Indeed, one of the most painful experience you can have is to have helped people in attaining critical life goals and they turn around to bite the finger that fed them. I know this can be very painful.

However, you know what? Their time is usually limited. No matter how long they may continue in that path, they always meet with dead end.

You may ask yourself: Who exactly is a backstabber?

Let us approach it like this. You probably gave a helping hand to someone. They got up and became someone of note through your help. However, when you thought you have helped them settle down and they now feel they are strong, they turn around and hit at you. They become your enemy, covertly or overtly.

Remember Julius Caesar’s shock which made him say to his longstanding friend: “Et tu, Brutus?” Indeed, such heartrending utterances have been made by many people that have been victims of backstabbers over time.

But one assurance I have is that, as the Yoruba would say, ‘a se pamo lowa, ase gbe o si.’ (Whatever you do is awaiting you in the future.) No condition is permanent. They too will be dealt with one day when their time comes. The good you did to them will turn round to haunt them.

However, the important thing I need you to know is that you should never stop doing good because of such ungrateful people. You should remember that in due time, God will give due reward to everyone (Galatians 6:9).

Yes, I can feel your pain. You are so mad at the person that you feel like hitting the table with your clenched fist. Keep your cool. The gang up will soon burst and dogs will start eating dogs. I have seen it happen over and again. That is why you should not believe or ever participate in such low pastimes. You will be glad at the enigma you will become to such low intelligence people with the passing of time.

Keep the faith and God will give you the victory. My pastor, Pastor Caleb Olubiyi, said during service this evening that you suffer such attacks because you have a glorious destiny. Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory asserted that he was never bothered about such people because they are at his back, yes, far behind him, which is where they belong.

So, keep moving forward while the backstabbers remain at your back, far behind you and never to catch up with your progress.
